I doubt Jimenez gets picked. He's versatile but middle aged and coming off a knee injury. It wouldn't surprise me if no Crew player is picked. There are certainly better players available from other teams.
Waylon Francis is my guess. He has a friendly contract number, and plays a tough position to fill on a roster - left back.
I will go with Jimenez. Francis, Argudo, Williams, and Maloney are also possible. I firmly believe we lose someone. Though that means next year we won't have to lose anyone off the title winning team!
Jimenez to Miami. Which means the league avoids the bad publicity of anyone from the Crew being taken by El Tree. Hector has to move again, but at least he'll probably start for an expansion team.
Interesting thought. Do you suppose the league itself would stage manage something like this? In truth, I'd be impressed.
Take 'em all. Not concerned about losing a single one of the unprotected guys. The higher he's paid the more I want him selected.
While I suppose it's possible that we won't win MLS Cup next year, I do think it's likely that we will have a substantially stronger roster next year, and hence a much harder time escaping an expansion draft without losing someone who'd hurt. So, yeah, if we have to lose someone in 2019 and that means we can pass up the whole miserable draft in 2020 when we'll have a much better team, I guess I'd be okay with that. Plus, ******** Austin.
What sucks is it d se pests we will have a expansion draft in 2021 also and possibly every year for the foreseeable future
#2 - Abu Danladi to Nashville (Minnesota) #3 - Alvas Powell to Inter (Food Lions) #4 - Zarek Valentin (Timbers) - potential trade indicated
Ahhh. Okay. Exempt from next years expansion. They also talked about how Argudo was bi-lingual. Should help in the locker room in building the culture.
Bummer losing Argudo. He played a lot better than I expected he would and was a bright spot in that bad stretch.
not the end of the world but he was the best player we exposed and now we are safe from the next draft
