Kuala Lumpur: The draw for the AFC U-19 Championship 2020 Qualifiers concluded at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday with the 46 teams discovering their opponents. Top spot in the respective groups will earn direct qualification, while the four best second-placed teams will also advance to the 2020 Finals. Should the yet to be determined host for the Finals finish either top of their group or among the best four second-placed teams, the next (5th) second-placed team in the ranking among all groups will qualify instead. The Qualifiers will be played on November 2-10, 2019.
Qualified Teams Uzbekistan (Host) Group Winners Group A (TBD) Qatar Tajikistan Iran Bahrain Saudi Arabia Malaysia Australia South Korea Japan Indonesia Best Runners Up Laos Vietnam Yemen One more Group Runner up will qualify. Uzbekistan are currently 4th bezst runner up but have qualified as host. Only the runner up in Group A still has a chance and their target is set by Cambodia who currently have that spot with 6 points and a goal difference of +3. As group A is 5 teams (Iraq, Oman, Palestine, Kuwait and Pakistan) only the results against the last placed team will be discarded. Lets hope there isn't a dodgy result on the last match day.
