Almost every team who plays the Fire also has "an easy schedule, based on ppg." Oh, wait, this is the Optimism Thread, I should not post that. Sorry. This is Optimism (I removed your last sentence to preserve the Optimism).
Let's hear even a single, solitary word from Joe Mansueto before we go forward with what we think he is going to do. There has been no evidence at all that Mansueto is close to taking "full control" of the Fire. I know that is what we all want, but there has been nothing indicate this is imminent. However, the dumping of Nelson f'n Rodriguez should be imminent.
Does Nelson weigh 90 kilograms? Ive been told a trebuchet can throw 90 kg over 300 meters. Dong the math, in order to find what size trebuchet is needed to throw 90 kg over three states Ive learned we need an Airbus 320 to do the job. Luckily, those are common.
From the info that I've gathered, he's behind the Soldier Field move and is using that as a way to keep Nelson from rebranding the team. He's apparently ready to fire most of the front office once he has the power to do so, which means getting the other 51%. There's really nothing I can say except wait for it to happen. Yeah, it's been a while. He apparently was ready to take the other 51% a while ago, but then the Sector thing happened and he didn't want his name near that so he held off. Since that got solved, he's been trying to get a deal again but Hauptman is holding on. The rest of the league might step in if the Fire lose money again this season, but if not he's on his own in trying to put it together.
How about a Boeing 737 max? I hear they can be had pretty cheap now. It would have a better than 50/50 chance of making it New Jersey. What, too soon?
Your comment about the Sector Latino "thing" does not make sense in light of actual public facts. According to the newspaper, Sector Latino was revoked on June 29, 2018, before Manseuto purchased his share. There is almost no way it had an effect on the purchase the whole team (since he had not completed his half purchase) and, if it did, he could have EASILY reversed the revocation (which he should have, anyway). I do not but it. Yes, it is my understanding that he has been involved in the move to Soldier Field.
https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2019...t-improved-2018-year-over-year-points-explain Plus 6 points. Too bad we SUCKED last year, I guess that's not to optimistic.
Even if we lose out 8-10-16-34 pts we will finish we a better record this year, than last year 8-8-18 32 pts. Trust the Process.......
NYCFC came back to defeat New England. Now we need Cincinnati to beat Toronto, then we need NYCFC to beat Toronto, then we need to beat FC Dallas, then we need Orlando to beat New England, the we need Toronto to tie (at best) Colorado, then we need to beat Cincinnati, then we need New England to tie (at best) RSL, then we need LAFC to beat Toronto, then we need Portland to beat New England, then we need to tie (at least) Toronto, then we need New England to tie (at best) NYCFC, then we need Atlanta to beat New England, then we need tie (at least) Orlando, then we need Toronto to tie (at best) Columbus and hopefully Montreal doesn't get more than 5 points in their last 4 games and Orlando doesn't get more than 8 points in their last 5 games and that. That's doable?
Considering that 2 of our remaining 4 games are on the road we know that's not going to happen, that's why I was being optimistic that we get a draw in those games. Basically we NEED a lot of HELP........
