Hopefully the TFC that showed up for Champions League also show up at Talen Energy Stadium next week!

Positivity to start the season, as I do believe they get a win. Never thought TFC could get any more shambolic, but they are a complete disaster right now.

Also glad to see the models slowing the advance of the cold air by about 24 hours. So we may dodge the 24-degree weather in exchange for some 45-degree rain. OK, I'm not sure which is worse.

Why change my mindset ... LOSS.

    Too many new faces.
    Not enough time to gel.
Brought Fabian in too late to camp.
    Yadda yadda yadda.

Just lining up the excuses. ;)

3-1 win. Can't wait. Who is that joker who moved to Toronto's FO? Wasn't there an article recently that we must be happy the Union did not hire him?

Well I got tickets for it but I can't get a read on either of these teams. Draw.

We haven't beaten TFC since 2014 and have lost 8-0 in the last three games combined. They have our number despite being bad last season. I see a rough, slow start this season, especially in this game.

I predict Giovinco and Victor Vazquez each get a brace but Dockal scores two and Jay Simpson gets a hat trick as a sub and the Union win 5-4. ;)

Could be anything. I'll go for a Union win based on the negativity about TFC alone.

I'll be making the trip down to Philly for this one. Where is the best philly cheesesteak place in your opinion? Thanks!

Don't go to Pat's or Geno's. Just about anywhere else is fine.

If you want a good sandwich, get the Italian roast pork at Dinic's in Reading Terminal.

If by "best" you mean the classic tourist experience complete with Vegas levels of neon, then you should go to Pat's or Geno's, but this would be like saying the "best" way to experience Toronto is hitting up the gift shop at Niagara Falls, then stopping at Tim Hortons on your way to catch a Leafs game (your welcome for Auston Matthews, BTW), then capping it off by taking in the view of Lake Ontario from the top of the CN Tower.

I want to eat where the locals go to

Somewhere for me to grab a bite to eat before hitting the road again. (I'm driving from Memphis to Philly... just to watch TFC lose lol)

Only if you can camp out for the 15-minute window before they sell out. :D

Everyone has their own opinion, but I'm partial to John's Roast Pork. http://www.johnsroastpork.com/ Note that it's only open until about 7:00 PM and closed on Sunday.

If you're traveling with someone else, get a cheesesteak and a roast pork and split them. Easy parking but nowhere to eat inside. There are picnic tables outside.

And, as someone who has seen the Union lose in NE, NYC, NJ, DC, Atlanta, Orlando, Houston and LA (and probably other places that I can't think of offhand), I feel your pain.

Rico's Lounge on Highland Avenue in Chester.

According to HulkUnionSmash, they have great jalapeno poppers and the PBR is always flowing.

I'll second this... John's Roast Pork is my go to for a Cheesesteak.

I just realized that our match is the kickoff for the whole league.

What marketing genius decided the season should kick off with a match between a 9-season disappointment and a team that has been in a hellish descent for the 15 months since their Championship?

    Only MLS!
