I love Mexican soccer fans. Really. I do. I hate the teams they support, but they're alright by me. Now they olés come for SKC and the ******** goal kicks for their own keeper. They don't take shit from their teams.
Do we realize what happened all within a 30 second period? Toluca fans OLEd their own team, booed when the ref apparently missed a corner for KC and gave their own team a goal kick, and then yelled THAT WORD to their own keeper taking the goal kick. I mean, wow!
Also less discreet ones. Like changing up the structure of the tournament itself to ensure you get the results you want. And apparently what CONCACAF wants is just as many LMX v MLS series as they can possibly get, so I also doubt that they're gonna go ask the ref to fix games to thwart that outcome.
Kind of funny... Univision announcers have absolutely no interest in pronouncing the SKC names correctly
Kelyn Rowe coming on to play in the first away Champions League game of his career. Being able to sub him in for either Gutierrez or Espinoza is going to be huge this year.
Volume UP for this one. ⬆️🔊Sporting KC is beating the brakes off of Toluca, 4-0 on aggregate. Someone stop the fight 😲 pic.twitter.com/60XjCJf2HH— MLS Buzz (@MLS_Buzz) March 1, 2019
Warshaw noticed this last week, but SKC are again playing in a 3-4-3 with Besler-Fontas-Zusi as the back 3, with Sinovic playing much higher up the field. And it nearly results in another goal as Salloi nails one off the post.
That's okay. Max Bretos never could pronounce SKC assistant coach Kerry Zavagnin's name correctly back when Kerry was with the USMNT.
Ok, how does the ref not give a yellow for that outright kick to the leg of Zusi a couple minutes back? I know the game is over, but damn.
