https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019–20_CONCACAF_Nations_League_qualifying#Summary has the schedule. Each matchday will have 17 games, and the first 2 games are today. On each matchday, make score predictions for any 10 games. For World Cup Qualifying, I required all the predictions to be made before the start of the round. Since I'm starting this topic late, Matchday 1 predictions can be made any time until a game starts. For Matchdays 2 through 4, all predictions for the matchday must be made before the first game of the matchday. By that time, teams will have decided their rosters. Matchday 2 will be in October, Matchday 3 will be in November, and Matchday 4 will be in March. Score predictions will be worth 4, 3, 2, or 0 using the method I've used in the past that I'm not retyping now.
Matchday 1 Dominica 0-2 Suriname Guyana 0-0 Barbados Anguilla 1-6 French Guyana Belize 4-1 Bahamas ST. Vincent and the Grenadines 0-0 Nicaragua Cuba 5-0 Turks and Caicos Montserrat 0-7 El Salvador Bonaire 0-1 Dominican Rep US Virgin Islands 0-6 Canada Aruba 2-1 Bermuda Jamaica 2-0 Cayman Islands St. Kitts and Nevis 1-2 Puerto Rico Haiti 5-1 Sint Maarten Curaçao 3-1 Grenada Saint Martin 0-5 Guadeloupe Martinique 4-0 British Virgin Islands
Unless you specify otherwise, I'm going to use your first 10 predictions. I said to pick 10 because some games have big gaps in quality and some teams rarely play and/or are not members of FIFA, so it can be hard to know what to expect. I predict: Dominica 2-2 Suriname Guyana 2-0 Barbados Antigua and Barbuda 3-2 St. Lucia Belize 4-1 Bahamas Cuba 2-1 Turks and Caicos Islands U.S. Virgin Islands 0-5 Canada (will be in Bradenton, Florida, USA) Aruba 2-1 Bermuda St. Kitts and Nevis 3-1 Puerto Rico Curacao 3-0 Grenada Martinique 4-0 British Virgin Islands
Agree My 10 predictions : Matchday 1 Dominica 0-2 Suriname Guyana 0-0 Barbados Anguilla 1-6 French Guyana Belize 4-1 Bahamas ST. Vincent and the Grenadines 0-0 Nicaragua Cuba 5-0 Turks and Caicos Montserrat 0-7 El Salvador Bonaire 0-1 Dominican Rep US Virgin Islands 0-6 Canada Aruba 2-1 Bermuda
Martinique vs. British Virgin Islands that was postponed will be played October 16. I predict: French Guiana 3-2 St. Vincent and the Grenadines Bahamas 1-2 Antigua and Barbuda Dominican Republic 3-0 Cayman Islands Grenada 0-6 Cuba Suriname 3-0 British Virgin Islands St. Lucia 1-4 Haiti El Salvador 3-2 Barbados Bonaire 0-6 Jamaica Nicaragua 3-0 Anguilla Guadeloupe 3-1 Aruba
It's always difficult predicting games involving the smaller countries with populations as low as 5000, but I'll try. Martinique 5 - 0 British Virgin Islands French Guiana 4 - 1 St. Vincent and the Grenadines US Virgin Islands 0 - 6 Curacao Bahamas 0 - 3 Antigua and Barbuda Bermuda 3 - Sint Maarten 0 Dominican Republic 5 - 0 Cayman Islands Grenada 0 - 6 Cuba Turks and Caicos 0 - Guyana 3 Puerto Rico 1 - Martinique 3 Suriname 4 - British Virgin Islands 0 Saint Lucia 0 - Haiti 2 El Salvador 3 - Barbados 0 Saint Martin 0 - 3 Saint Kitts and Nevis Monserrat 0 - Belize 4 Bonaire 0 - 5 Jamaica Nicaragua 4 - 0 Anguilla Canada 7 - Dominica 0 Guadeloupe 4 - 2 Aruba
Match 2, I predict : Bahamas 0-5 Antigua and Barbuda Bermuda 12-0 Sint Maarten 0 Dominican Rep. 3-0 Cayman Islands Puerto Rico 2-2 Martinique Suriname 6-0 British Virgin Islands Montserrat 0-3 Belize Bonaire 0-12 Jamaica Nicaragua 3-0 Anguilla Canada 6-1 Dominica Guadeloupe 0-0 Aruba
Congratulations jagum. I wonder how many people who consider themselves experts have ever predicted a team to win by at least 12 and been exactly right. Would you like me to tweet congratulations at https://twitter.com/evanj3535 ?
I just tweeted Congratulations to jagum on BigSoccer for predicting the exact score of Bermuda's 12-0 win hosting Sint Maarten.— Evan Jones (@EvanJ3535) October 14, 2018 It's easy to look at a team that hasn't reached the WCQ Semifinals or qualified for a Gold Cup and think that they're not good, but you have a good point about Bermuda's WCQs. Stern John scored an 86th minute winner in qualifying for World Cup 2010 otherwise Bermuda would have advanced on away goals. In WCQs for 2014, if you change Bermuda's 1-1 hosting Guyana to a 2-1 win, Bermuda and Guyana would have been tied on points, goal differential, and goals scored overall and head-to-head and tied on head-to-head away goals. However, the tiebreakers would have been moot because Trinidad and Tobago would have won the group with a better goal differential than both of them. Trinidad and Tobago was +8 and Bermuda was +1, so Bermuda needed either a draw changed to a blowout win or more points from two games.
I've changed my mind. I don't see Guadeloupe holding Curacao anymore. None of the French Overseas Territories have looked good. Martinique looks the best of the bunch, and they look decent at best. Saying that, they still might take all 12 points because Guadeloupe looks weak, Antigua and Barbuda might be able to take points from them though.
I told people to pick 10 games per matchday. For devioustrevor I included his first 10 games for Matchday 2 and his prediction for the postponed Matchday 1 game. Here are the results: EvanJ: 42 (20 Matchday 1 + 22 Matchday 2) jagum: 41 (19 Matchday 1 + 22 Matchday 2) devioustrevor: 28 (3 Matchday 1 from 1 game + 25 Matchday 2) Exact scores are worth 3 points and other predictions with the correct result are worth 2 or 3. If you need the details of my scoring system, look at a World Cup Qualifying prediction topic.
Predictions Matchday 3 : British Virgin Islands 0-0 Bonaire Belize 1-1 Puerto Rico Cuba 2-2 Dominican Republic Cayman Islands 1-3 Saint Lucia Turks and Caicos Islands 1-7 Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Bahamas 2-0 Anguilla Barbados 6-0 US Virgin Islands Saint Kitts and Nevis 0-3 Canada Curacao 1-0 Guadeloupe Sint Maarten 0-8 Dominica
In the beginning of my previous post that said "exact scores are worth 3 points," it should have said "4 points." I predict: Aruba 3-1 Montserrat Belize 2-1 Puerto Rico Cuba 2-2 Dominican Republic Nicaragua 2-3 Haiti Cayman Islands 1-3 St. Lucia Jamaica 3-1 Suriname Bahamas 1-0 Anguilla Barbados 2-0 U.S. Virgin Islands Curacao 2-0 Guadeloupe French Guiana 1-1 Guyana
I let people choose any ten games to predict. You won't be able to win the entire contest, but you can predict the upcoming games and games in March if you want.
Predictions Matchday 3: Sint Maarten 0 - 4 Dominica Barbados 3 - 0 USVI Turks and Caicos 0 - 5 St. Vincent and Grenadines Cayman Islands 0 - 4 Saint Lucia Jamaica 4 - 1 Suriname Aruba 0 - Montserrat 2 British Virgin Islands 0 - 2 Bonaire French Guiana 3 - 1 Guyana St. Kitts & Nevis 0 - 3 Canada Curacao 3 - 0 Guadeloupe
For Matchday 3, devioustrevor got 19, I got 13, and jagum got 8. devioustrevor and jagum could get up to 4 points from British Virgin Islands vs. Bonaire, which was postponed to January 3. I did not predict that game. Cumulatively, I have 55, jagum has 49, and devioustrevor has 47 after not predicting Matchday 1 except for the game that got postponed.
As JFoot23 posted, Barbados forfeited their Matchday 1 game against Guyana for using ineligible players. https://concacafnationsleague.com/e...iation-player-eligibility-cases?sf203793227=1 is about it. If I used the forfeit score of 3-0, it would take 2 prediction points away from jagum and add 3 to me. Rather than doing that, I'm going to make the game give both of us 0. devioustrevor started predicting after that game.
Matchday 4 Predictions: British Virgin Islands 0 - 1 Turks and Caicos Islands Cayman Islands 0 - 2 Montserrat St. Vincent and the Grenadines 4 - 0 Bonaire Dominica 2 - 0 Bahamas El Salvador 1 -3 Jamaica Puerto Rico 0 - 1 Grenada Haiti 2 -1 Cuba Barbados 0 - 2 Nicaragua Dominican Republic 1 - 1 Bermuda Canada 2 - 0 French Guiana
Match 4 , here my predictions: British Virgin Islands 4-0 Turks and Caicos S.t Vincent and the Grenadines 1-0 Bonaire Anguilla 2-1 US Virgin Islands Saint Lucia 1-3 Aruba Cayman Islands 2-1 Montserrat Guyana 2-1 Belize Suriname 1-0 St. Kitts and Nevis Guadeloupe 2-1 Martinique El Salvador 1-1 Jamaica Haiti 3-2 Cuba
