I think we can start assuming Reyes is out of the WC

I doubt it but maybe...still this has to increase the likelihood of seeing Rafa playing a more important roll as well as Edson.

I am not a huge fan of Molina actually, even when I am a Rayado he is OK.

But for all the hype about leaving Pizarro behind, to me not having a good #5 is a gap. Reyes can be awesome when he is on, but many a times (too many) I have seen him make silly mistakes, lose track of his mark and in instances practically be responsible for goals against us. Add to that his current state, and I question that decision.

Volantes, medias puntas, enganches or however you want to call the role that Pizarro would fill, we have several of those, all with a better pedigree, Gio questionable sure, but you have Fabian, Vela, Tecatito y si me apuras hasta el Chucky can fill that role somewhat. #5s, no tenemos uno fuerte IMO, we will have to fill those voids with HH/Jona/Guardado being a bit restrained.

Comment section littered with vile trash. Not surprising in the least.

Osorio should go with 22. Nobody can replace Reyes.

About 2-3 years ago I joined an intramural soccer team at my university. Hadn't played in a while and was severely out of shape. First game was about 8 weeks away, so I decided to hit the track and get my fitness back. On the second week, I sprinted on a straight away and felt a sharp pain in my hamstring. I stopped to stretch it a bit and tried to run again, no dice, I could not even jog. I left the track limping towards my car and thought I'd be better the following day. Nope. I legit walked at a pace comparable to my late grandpa (e.p.d.)

It took about 5-6 weeks for that thing to fully recover. The limp took about 2-3 wks to disappear as well. You never realize how important the hamstring is for walking until you injure it. And the thing is, it's very easy to reinjure it again because it's so sensitive at that stage. Now, whenever I play scrimmages, I dread injuring a hamstring because that shît hinders your mobility tremendously.

I don't know how long ago Reyes injured his hamstring, but if he reinjured it enough, dude could possibly miss the world cup. Not only that, but let's say he makes the WC and he tells the staff he's 100% when in reality he's only at 70%, first sprint he does there'll be a lesion seguro. However, he has a medical staff backing him, so he's in good hands. I'm hoping he makes it.

Univision reported a lineup of is likely to be used for Germany.
    Memo
    Álvarez-Salcedo-Moreno-Gallardo
    Marquez
    Layún-Guardado
    Vela-Chicharito-Lozano

Obviously, Marquez at D Mid was used to cover for Herrera.

would this be the first time Salcedo is used as a CB instead of the outside under Osorio?

    I like it.

Seeing the Confed replay Mexico vs Germany Chicharito speed was key..

    Lozano is now embolden player.

    Alvarez is a boss.

He will have a strong game.

hopefully Rafa is just a placeholder...

but it does give us a little flexibility to lose gallardo in the second half and shift layun over and tecatito or fabian come into the mid.
