These defensive tactics are awful. 2-3 players on one guy and it’s so ineffective. The US is gonna create so many spaces that way.
US up 1-0. I honestly doubt too many of these dudes pan out. Slow, unathletic, and with a terrible touch.
It should start bothering us IMO. The US beats us on every single divided ball precisely because they’re faster and more athletic. IDK if it’s a coincidence but it seems like our system has always held a huge bias toward skilled players, to the point where we call up scrawny or slightly overweight players based on skill. That needs to stop.
