And the scoreboard reads: JasonMa 1; Eric 0 You know.....the last few days have given us a classic example of that phrase: "When you point your finger at someone, there's three pointing right back at you." EDIT: Oh, and glass houses...
I am curious - what could he possibly be referring to that is stopping amateur teams from having deep runs in the Open Cup?
Especially since NTX had three home games to get to this round. Miami United played the first three games in Miami before going to Jacksonville for the 3rd round. I believe Golden State had a home game against Las Vegas Lights to get to the 4th Round, not sure about the others. The USSF has changed the pairing/hosting rules to actually make it more likely that teams like this will advance.
Las Vegas's roster is heavy on Hispanics, including many Mexicans. https://www.lasvegaslightsfc.com/2018-roster They are currently averaging 1.0 ppg and are in 13th place in USL's Western Conference. I'm going to guess that GalaxyKoa means that LVL's "grab anyone with a Latino name and, just by giving him a shot, he'll do better than current batch of white guys in the league" isn't working.
Pretty much. They also hired Chelis, who was initially hired to be their head coach but right before the season they basically said "no, he's not the coach, he's the technical director". How does one replace Chelis? With his son, of course. They're the USL's Chivas USA.
I think we really should have made the llama president. We are doing a disservice to future generations of American footballers. Sigh, another lost generation.
For 4 years, media have run 1,000s of stories about me, helping spread false allegations that have been extremely damaging to me, my family & my career. Last week, the case was dismissed, yet most of those reporters have remained silent. Why?https://t.co/cpdFCfetOi— Hope Solo (@hopesolo) June 6, 2018
The truth is either a family brawl got to the point that the police had to be called or she beat the crap out of family members and the police had to be called. Either way, the case was dropped because the witnesses did not want to testify, not because what was said was not true.
Eh, I know none of us want to say what happened was ok, but really, Solo does have a point here. The reporting went beyond just the facts and made assumptions of her guilt. Legally, she's innocent. That said, Solo shouldn't be surprised that the media has moved on.
Yep. This happens to everyone accused of a crime that gets media. The arrest/investigation gets attention, then things go dark for a bit. If there's a conviction, you hear about it again. If there isn't, you don't hear much. Media coverage of the justice system is overwhelmingly terrible.
Kinda like the media coverage for the USMNT and USWNT? Lots of coverage in a World Cup year (provided they qualify) and then afterwards nothing for another 4 years.
Let's also not forget that this wasnt her only misstep. She had quite the history before this happened.
She is trying to fix that though. INTERVIEW: American soccer superstar Hope Solo tells FIFA voters not to back US-led World Cup bid for 2026 https://t.co/smiY5Q7qXL— Rob Harris (@RobHarris) June 7, 2018 I mean, it isn't the way I'd go about drawing attention to myself, but who am I to judge?
