Are others having trouble seeing the images? BS won't let me post an Excel table in a form that comes out in a real table format. In addition, BS's Image function doesn't allow me directly to post in image, such as a jpeg image. Rather, it only allows posting images that have URLs. So what I have to do is take a picture of the table using Paint, save the picture to a page at a website I have, copy the picture's URL, come to BS's Image function and enter the picture's URL. I know that some people can see the picture posted that way because I've posted pictures elsewhere on BS that I know posters were able to see and I can see them myself after I've saved the post. But, occasionally someone has not been able to see the picture. If someone has another solution to this problem, let me know. I need to use the numbers I've assigned to games -- e.g., Game 1.1 -- for programming purposes, but I've added a line to show the two opponents, so that problem's cleared up. Good suggestion.
While we're sleuthing here, Blissett and Tracer, what kind of operating system do you have -- i.e., Apple-based or Microsoft-based. And, what level of BigSoccer member are you ( as in, do you have advertisements or no advertisements)? It would be nice to pinpoint why some have problems seeing the "pictures" and some don't. (I have a laptop with Windows 10 and I'm a Member+ which means no ads.) The website where I lodge my Excel table pictures and from which I copy a table picture's URL is a GoogleSites site. The browser I use is Chrome, but I don't think that should make any difference. As a clue, can you see my Avatar? It's a picture of an Excel chart. Others, can some of you see the tables? If so, let us know so we can try to figure out why some can and some can't. EDIT: I see Blissett is a Member+, so that apparently isn't the issue.
Yes, not sure what you did, but now I can see it. Have I to give you my specification anyway, or can we now consider the problem solved?
CP - I could not see the previous images, but this one is good. I use an apple - Mac mini. I am a member+, and I can see your avatar. THANK YOU for taking this on. Even though Sensei Riley says to stay focused on the process, I for one enjoy seeing the results! ......and maybe my good friend @blissett won't tease you so much about the Robot! edit: But really, I hope he does not stop!
I can see your grid posted at 10:01 pm yesterday. I'm a new member (I didn't even know about ads!). I use Windows 10 and Chrome. Plus, I have always seen your avatar.
Season predictions North Carolina Portland Seattle Orlando Chicago Washington Utah Sky Blue Houston North Carolina over Orlando Portland over Seattle North Carolina over Portland (2-1)
OK, let's see if this works. It's similar to what I did with the one that works for everyone, but it's easier for me to do. I'll assume it's good unless someone posts otherwise. Week 1 Report: Week 2 Report:
From a QA/QC POV, since a) CP is reliable and b) I am tied for first and c) Blissett is on the job; I decided it was clearly unnecessary to check CP's spreadsheet for calculation glitches. Next Four Games - April 14 and 15 [home team first] UTAH vs. CHI WAS vs. NC SKY vs. SEA CHI - 0 vs. POR I have no idea as to which "Week" the Wednesday 4/18 games are assigned. April 18, 2018 NC vs. SEA CHI vs. HOU
THANKS! - I hate making copy, paste, and edit mistakes. Fixed below, for one stop shopping: Next Four Games - April 14 and 15 [home team first] UTAH vs. CHI WAS vs. NC SKY vs. SEA POR vs. ORL April 18, 2018 NC vs. SEA CHI vs. HOU
It depends on who you talk to, but there's no clear consensus as to whether midweek games belong to the weekend before or the weekend after. I usually consider them with the weekend after, which is I think what NWSL does too when considering weekly awards & power rankings. (Conversely, fantasy leagues often group midweek games with the previous weekend, as does SportsClubStats.com)
If I'm right, any prediction counts so long as it precedes the beginning of the predicted game. If that's right, I probably can post a report after the weekend games and then after the mid-week games.
Here's what the robot says for this weekend's games: Royals 1 v Red Stars 1 Spirit 1 v Courage 2 Sky Blue 2 v Reign 2 (I hate it when the robot tells me 2-2 ) Portland 2 v Orlando 1
I am so busy with following Japan at Asian Cup, that I could very well forgot to make my predictions for NWSL, so I am better dealing with this business right away. And also moving forward to the mid-week games, even if I could get some more info down the road (result of previous matches, injury reports or such), should I wait some more days. But I don't want to risk forgetting. I assume I'll be anyway able to change my predictions between Sunday 15 and Wednesday 18, if I'd really want to, won't I? Utah Royals 2 Chicago Red Stars 1 Washington Spirit 0 North Carolina Courage 1 (yes, I am betting on NC starting their season as the last one, when they had 4 or 5 1-0 wins in a row ) Sky Blue FC 0 Seattle Reign FC 2 Portland Thorns 1 Orlando Pride 1 North Carolina Courage 0 Seattle Reign FC 1 (ok, my Seattle fandome won over the NC 1-0 thingie ) Chicago Red Stars 3 Houston Dash 1
Oh, these unruly robots! Morrissey back then suggested that "a crack on the head is what you get for asking", But actually he was referring to "unruly boys" (and girls) and not robots. And it wasn't them getting that crack on the head. (see: "Barbarism begins at home").
Next Four Games - April 14 and 15 [home team first] UTAH 1 vs. CHI 2 WAS 1 vs. NC 2 SKY 1 vs. SEA 2 POR 1 vs. ORL 2 April 18, 2018 NC 1 vs. SEA 1 CHI 2 vs. HOU 0 I seem to have discounted home field advantage. That's probably an error on my part. And 2-1 seems the default pick for everyone.
