If people here like to complain about DC United's lousy crosses, then they need to watch the horrendous play by Napoli in the Europa League.
After the results today, who gets the axe first, Armas or Hudson? I know Red Bull F1 racing is cutthroat, so given the corporate culture there, I would say the odds favor Armas out first. But Colorado? That is a dumpster fire, they are averaging over 3 goals against this year.
LAFC is demolishing Seattle -- it's already 4-1 in the 68th minute. Maybe it's the special kits -- teams playing in teal are stinking up the pitch.
It was a fun game. Almost was able to wash the disgust from the DC United gamed out of my mouth. I have good seats halfway up the south end in the middle. Let’s me see how attacks develop. I love that view. Almost. James
New England have been shut out four times at home this season. Last night was the funniest though. Montreal rested most of their starters and missed their flight out, so they didn't even leave until noon. New England is absolute garbage.
Oh, I certainly think he'll win. Hudson's team has had moments of entertainment. New England is just dour. The only thing Friedel has going for him is that it's not at all clear whether the higher ups in NE understand that there's a professional soccer team in the area.
I'll save them some time -- presently there is not a professional quality soccer team in the area -- there are some guys and a coach who are paid to put on uniforms and appear to "coach" said fellows in the uniforms.
In the meantime, in England... https://www.independent.co.uk/sport...ages-brentford-championship-efl-a8887961.html Tip of the iceberg?
So, Hudson is the first to go. Guess when you say you can't win because your players are shit and especially single out your DP sieve -- I mean goalkeeper -- and many of those players are the ones you brought in, you are by implication saying you are shit as well. Who's next? Armas, Friedel or de Boer?
I have a hard time caring at all about the Rapids so Hudson's firing didn't give me as much joy as it might have.
usa concacaf u17 USA U17 beat Canada 3-2 after conceding two early goals in CONCACAF group play. Next game is Saturday.
I am a bit perplex about the existance of USL League One, they only have ten teams in the group (USL Championship has 36, USL League Two has 72), and they are all far and spread out one from another, say Richmond has to travel as far west as Texas and as far north as Toronto, so it's not even like the league is there so these teams don't have to travel far and can save money. Any explanation?
Supposedly League One is D-3 level soccer in the US. The now named League Two is the old PDL which is composed largely of college players on summer break. Theoretically, the existence of a D-2 (USL Championship) and D-3 (League One) under the same organizational umbrella could lead to pro-rel in the future. As I said, that's in theory. If you look at the League One table, only North Texas (which plays in Frisco) and FC Tucson are outside of bus ride distance -- the other 8 teams are all up and down the eastern half of the United States and Canada. However, when you look at League One, it makes no sense -- sort of an answer to a question that no one thought of asking. Bonus point -- Conor Doyle is playing for Chattanooga in League One.
