I'm trying to find the link to watch the UCLA vs UNC match. Does anyone have the link? If so, please post it. Thanks.
Come on UNC, you can do it!!! I need the Tar Heels to win in order to keep my bracket prediction point total near the top.
2nd round overtime in a few minutes. At this point if it goes to PKs it's 50/50 and I'll take whatever result since we played our hearts out tonight.
UCLA wearing extra heavy overcoats on the pitch... "we from cali y'all we aren't used to this cold weather"
Welp, we're out. I have no idea why we took out Micah but thanks Cromwell.... Good luck to the other teams and see you guys next season! ::mic drop::
Fleming had a great game, but I suspect she wishes she could take that PK again - weak shot gave UNC's keep the chance to block it.
Most exciting NCAA tournament game in years. UNC vs. Stanford would make one heck of a FINAL. Anson vs. Radcliffe And of course, the dirty play on Tierna Davidson from earlier this season.
My first time seeing Fleming. Very skilled with the ball, but diminutive stature makes me wonder about her holding up to NT play. Apparently she does it.
If you like Women's college soccer, you have to have respect for UNC, but watching UNC at home games makes it very difficult to like them. There's one or two A**holes yelling instructions to the players, whining at every call, screaming at the refs.....do other UNC fans notice how obnoxious this is, or are they on board?
Those are what you call "Passionate Fans". The women's game needs more of them. We need more Baylor like fans. UNC has a few like that, but again, the sport needs more of them.
Once again, here is a discussion about the dirty play on Tierna Davidson. This should be a hot topic, if UNC and Stanford meet up in the Final. Some interesting comments from the 83 people who talked about it below. So, here, captured from my TiVo via my iPhone is the challenge that injured Tierna Davidson. Yeah I could hear those two or three guys loud and clear and I have no idea who they are. Probably just a bunch of rude obnoxious soccer dads that crop up when it matters. We had like one or two in our former stadium last year that would flat out call someone a bitch right next to their throw in and I'm surprised the security didn't throw them out. Fortunately, I didn't see any annoying soccer dads this year at our new stadium so maybe they wised up or got banned from the games. Basically the heckling I chalk it up to us Bruins or any other opposing team just playing through the home field advantage and trying to ignore the whining and complaints and shut them up with a goal or two. I wish the microphone didn't pick them up louder than the actual commentator though, that was annoying. Sometimes I told them to calm the eff down out loud even though they can't hear me through the screen. Ultimately, I know when I'm at the UCLA home games I'll shout "get up" if an opposing player goes down and "foul!" if a UCLA player goes down, that's just how home crowd works. I consider myself a passionate fan so I'll be standing up and wearing my scarf proud and outspoken-ness can get the better of me but we live and breathe our blue and gold and believe in them, even if other teams think they aren't a good team.
