Close offside decision overturns a goal in Houston. It still took too long. Close to 3 minutes from the goal scored to being ruled out after an OFR (not sure why Grejada went to the screen). Do we know if the MLS VARs have the Hawkeye type lines for offside decisions? If they do, it should have been a pretty easy decision.
There's a new instruction from PRO to go to the monitor on every review now, from what I've been told. Something about ambiguity.
Shocking to see AR1 on Liverpool-Dortmund in what appears to be a knockoff of the old black shirt. You would think after receiving this assignment he would make sure to be prepared for it, also pretty sure OSI will express ship and/or give you the shirts(?) if you have a televised game so really no excuse for this.
Wow you're right. I only caught a glimpse of it at halftime, but that was the old style black. I'll take your word for it that it was a knockoff. I can only hope that some sort of mistake or accident prevented him from wearing his new black.
It could be OSI, I just thought that the sleeve looked odd (more stripes than I think there is on the OSI one) and I haven’t seen anything to confirm it one way or the other. One can hope it was a mistake...
Maybe Frank Anderson. I'm going to guess that either he forgot to pack his OSI black or it got damaged somehow. The fact that a FIFA AR and PRO center didn't care about mixing styles during an international broadcast game is pretty funny considering most of us aren't supposed to do it at the youth/HS levels. At least black is the right color to do it with.
When I saw who it was, I definitely remembered seeing him in the new black before and I managed to track down a picture from the 2017 USL Cup final: http://proreferees.com/2017/12/22/j...-all-star-assignments-the-hard-work-pays-off/ Thinking he just made a mistake and forgot to pack it or something.
Did anyone see the phantom penalty call in Orlando by Petrescu? Absolutely atrocious. He made the VAR signal twice and never went to the monitor.
He seemed to be making it to assure the players it was being checked, but that's still poor mechanics, and he will probably be reminded not to do that unless there's an actual review or a call is being changed.
The pool reported asked about it, and here are this responses: 1020874232035725312 is not a valid tweet id
I like the assigning here. Too bad they couldn't get Felisha on the crew too. AS Roma - Tottenham Hotspur FC Referee: Alejandro Mariscal Assistant Referee 1: Apolinar Mariscal Assistant Referee 2: Eduardo Mariscal Fourth Official: Samantha Martinez
