One day without Earnie and he's already changing the lineup.

Earnie was right. They try to screw the littlest bit with the tactics and everyone is confused and lost.

Looking forward to hearing how McKenzie kept Giovinco in his pocket , or something. Lots to brag about except results.

They contained Giovinco well. They just let an old, bald man that couldn't beat Trinidad and Tobago put a ball through against two Union defenders that ran into each other.

Just got back left right after the 2nd Toronto goal because I knew that the Union would once again fail to break the Toronto backline that damned near had Bradley sitting with the CBs all game.

Rosenberry made a TERRIBLE throw in that Giovinco capitalized on. Speaking of Giovinco what a goddamn WHINER, christ, I don't deny the guy's skill but Jesus he literally bitched and complained about Every. Single. Call.

Also, why in the hell did Warren Creavalle get the nod to start over Derrick Jones?

That old bald man was the best player on the field tonight.

    Two mistakes, two goals conceded.

That about sums it up. This game was lost Saturday when both Bedoya and Harris picked up reds. Midfield was out of sorts for much of this game.

Crevale was serviceable tonight. The young centerbacks played okay. McKenzie was good in defense, but his passing was not good out of the back. Lots of turnovers. Trusty gambled and paid for it on Osorio's first goal. Rosenberry turned back the clock to 2017. CJ..........was he even out there?

I actually thought that Curtin made the correct subs, though they should have been made sooner. Would have liked to see Jones or Burke come on at halftime.

This team simply cannot afford to lose games at home, or drop points for that matter. This is loss number 2 already. With the way this team doesn't perform on the road...............it's going to be a VERY tall order for this team to be within shouting distance of 6th place.

I would not want to be in Rosenberry's shoes during the film session when they get to the 2nd Toronto goal.

Sapong did absolutely nothing tonight but pass the ball back to the midfield or turn it over. It's mind boggling how bad his game is this season. Yet Coach Clown gives him the start. And doesn't sub at the half when Ray Charles could see how out of it Sapong has become.

They were completely impotent in the 2nd half. Did they have a shot on goal in the 2nd half?

That 2nd goal is inexcusable. Just bad. Made me want to walk out of the match.

I didn't think they actually played that bad in the first half. They had 2-3 quality opportunities that they failed to capitalize on. Story of the year has been horrendous finishing.

Respect to anyone committed enough to watch. The “highlights” are depressing enough for me.

If anyone would give them anything, time to market Sapong under a “just needs a change of scenery” sign.

Of course, he’ll score 10 at the next place. (Or KC knew he was in decline and skunked us)

I’d further commit to youth and go with Fontana and other young guys.

Bad passes and bad throwins are the result of poor attention to detail in training.

First goal, McKenzie got contact on ball, hit it off offensive player and it bounced perfectly...for Toronto. If that had skipped to Blake or caromed off at a different angle they get away with poor leverage. In this case they didn’t. But the poor leverage is the issue,

They were pressing more which had Rosenberry chasing back too often.

So, change of players and change of style at home while missing two key midfielders. That seems like something you do on the road when you need to go for broke.

A point last night would have been boring but given the circumstances was a better strategy.

I still don't understand why they would give CJ a raise and extension when they did.

16 Goals and 5 assists. Career highs! But any good statistician would tell you that simple regression to the mean would predict a worse 2018. The Union don't actually play Moneyball even though people call their strategy that. If they did, Accam and Bedoya would not be on the team and Sapong would never be given a raise. If they were committed, the team would be all Dockal's and other problem children.

Lot of sloppy mistakes and stupid turnovers led to both goals. Nothing new there. Sapong is worse than just regression to the mean; he's been downright dreadful. He was so invisible for such long stretches of the game that I forgot he was playing.

Technically the woodwork is not a shot on goal. It's classified as off target. To be a shot on goal it has to be a goal, blocked or saved.

Holy **** that's almost word for word.

See, Union fans? Jim's stated goal of developing US players is on track. Quit complaining!

Life imitates art. A little too much these days really...

And it isn't really art, more like tragic comedy.
