Disgusting display of gender bias. There had to be "better" coaching candidates than this one, and yet..."she" get hired! Heck...Robin Confer would have been a great choice!
And out of no where Boston College opens https://bceagles.com/news/2018/12/10/alison-foley-resigns-as-womens-soccer-head-coach.aspx
Interesting as there were people talking about this at the DA event this weekend. Seems this was made known to Allison during the course of last week. Seemed like just rumors but clearly they were true.
Obviously very early but would think Chris Hamblin at Harvard and Kia McNeill at Brown will get heavy consideration if they are interested. Current head coaches, both played at Boston College and were assistants for the program there.
Have not heard anything, but if she wants to stay East you would think Georgetown would be the choice
Holmes, where do you come up with this stuff? MFM took over a Miami team that went to back to back NCAA tournaments. She was handed the keys to a successful program and set it back 5 years.
How about Tracy Leone as a spoiler option? As for Coffey, would not be surprised if she ends up in DC with the master of the transfer market.
Why? Wouldn't BC be looking for someone that has proven themselves and can get results on the highest stage? Not necessarily direct connections to the program. Out of the Ivies... the Princeton coach... maybe. In a twist... the Hofstra coach? Memphis? Regardless, did not see this one coming at all. But I feel like BC would be enough of a draw to pull a relatively big name that might be in the sticks that wants to make a move to a major metro area and/or the ACC...
Some news at DePaul closing out any rumors of EC moving on. https://depaulbluedemons.com/news/2...on-for-womens-soccer-coach-erin-chastain.aspx
That is a pretty big jump for an America East assoc HC from Hartford to Big East HC, no? I wonder if she was also on Yale's candidate list. Dominoes starting to fall. Perhaps a couple of the other big openings will be filled before New Years
Rumor has it that Oregon State had multiple coaches on campus all last week. Can anyone confirm this?
Speaking of Ball State - CR was said to be on the hot seat list last year for recruiting issues. Still the case?
