btw Belgium is 22 games unbeaten
Just curious, are a lot of people watching this game in Japan?? Is football popular there??
In Korea and Japan, baseball is the most popular sport (taiwan as well). However, when world cup time comes everybody is a fan. so... i guess most people are bandwagon fans (plastic fans). Most people don't watch their national team play during WCQ. Basketball is the most popular team sport in China.
On the back foot, LOTS of pressure.
Need to hold the damn ball for a few minutes, settle the ship.
One way traffic. Not looking good.
Osako having a tough game against the Belgian CBs.
I'm not so convinced Belgium are gonna win this game
Japan only needs to be a little more agressive in attack, but good game atm, come on
Yoshida is playing on top of his game tonight. Japan needs that. A beast.
I love watching this Japan team. So surprised they held on during the middle of the half when Belgium were pummeling our goal. But actually I think Japan look equally likely to score.
Started the half well, defended strongly, created some chances. Not a bad half at all considering
Overall good half. Dealt with some pressure, defended Lukaku reasonably well as a unit. Sakai doing well.
Osako needs more hold up play.
How good was Shoji’s Zidane-spin - highlight of the match so far.
Also Yoshida’s world-class defending on Hazard’s shot.
Shibasaki was the worst Japanese player in the first half. Shoji, Sakai, Nagatomo, Yoshida solid in the back with Inui and Kagawa being the only players who are able to keep up with Belgians on the offensive side...
Wow......wow......just...........wow! I'm flying back out to Japan tomorrow just to celebrate those goals hahahaha.
Okazaki should come on.
Still 22 minutes left.
But Yoshida is doing admirably.
Yodhida has been an absolute rock
What a stupid goal.
Need subs man. Belgium have 2 fresh legs on.
