Yeah, anything but an old-fashioned smackdown will be disappointing. Let's hope the weather holds up.
I was being facetious. Although it's certainly unlikely that USVI would win, stranger things have happened... In all likelihood, barring something truly bizarre, like the entire US team getting a stomach bug and being unable to play, the USA should win with little effort....
Lineup I’d go with for this game. Ochoa Perez-Araujo-Rogers-Real Torres Fontana-Amaya Dorsey-Akinola-Llanez
Likely this: Ochoa Perez-Araujo-McKenzie-Real Angking Amaya-Fontana Dorsey-Akinola-Llanez We back! Meet the U-20 #USMNT XI for our second group stage match.#CU20 // #TheFutureIsUS pic.twitter.com/lI3KlzAyPk— U.S. Soccer YNT (@USYNT) November 3, 2018
I'd have rested McKenzie for T&T but otherwise this isn't a huge surprise. Anyone know if Lindsey is there or in Utah?
It looks like the above, but with Fontana and Angking swapped. Llanez cross just misses Akinola's foot but falls to Dorsey who finishes. 1-0 US in the fourth minute.
Nice run by Dorsey who squares to Llanez. Llanez then curls one home from just outside the box. 3-0 US in the 23rd minute
Let Llanez play the rest of the half, then sub him out. I'm afraid of all the fouls. Plus he rests up for T&T.
Perez plays in Llanez who rounds the keeper and sends a ball to the far post. Akinola knocks it in just as it looked like it was going over the goal line to me. 4-0 US 29th minute Actually Llanez is getting credit for it.
