I just want to take a moment to talk about how much love and appreciation I have for one Yuki Nagasato. She has replaced the false-9-sized hole in my heart. Absolutely amazing. Finally got to see her score a goal in person this afternoon (it's taken that long, I thought I was bad luck). I think this team is finally clicking for the first time in a long time and that relationship up top between Yuki and Kerr is hopefully gonna keep doing big things for this club. In other news: Rory got his 50th win in the NWSL.
The red stars really seem to be jelling right now. When they get everyone healthy they should make a run for the playoffs. The suggestion that they might move to Lincoln yards might be best for them.
I think that they'll move into Lincoln Yards. In a perfect scenario for the Fire or the worst scenario for the Fire, the Red Stars will probably come out of this mess looking good no matter what.

https://www.hottimeinoldtown.com/20...off-semifinal-north-carolina-new-day-portland Day, time and location change. Tuesday, September 18th @ 8:00pm in Portland (ESPNews).
Neutral and the final is being played on September 22nd in Portland. I'm sure North Carolina wouldn't go for that.
I know both of those from the article, but it is a wasted opportunity. If they wanted a neutral site, perhaps a site between the two home cities would be better. I think this is stupid and will destroy what little interest there is in the game. It might save travel expenses for one team (but increase costs for the other team).
I can't believe the Chicago Red Stars head coach was so skeered of planes landing and taking off in 20 mph winds that he had to publicly comment on it. Weather here in Raleigh-Durham would've been fine for a game - and the Courage were never suggesting the game go on as planned. They were asking to keep the game and have it played tomorrow. A team in the "Windy City" shouldn't have problems with a little wind. If the game had been relocated on Monday or Tuesday, it would've made a lot of sense. But by the time the game was moved to Portland, it was pretty apparent that Florence was just going to graze the Triangle. It's really too bad the Courage are losing home field and a sold out 10k crowd after the most dominant women's pro season in U.S. history and now have to potentially play two games in front of a hostile crowd (I'm pretty sure the Portland locals that show up on Tuesday will be rooting for Chicago).
Give it rest Andy. You keep repeating the same crap over and over and we've "discussed" this on the women's forum at nauseam. The state of NC is a disaster after this Hurricane hit it and you want the Red Stars to fly in a day or two early in the middle of all this, find hotel rooms, food, transportation, etc. Rory's comments weren't just about planes, it was about the whole mess the hurricane is creating. The governor of NC was pleading for people to leave and you want the Red Stars to fly in, ride the storm out, just so that your team can have their home field advantage and you can take pictures. The decision to move the game should have been made a week ago when they saw the Hurricane heading straight for NC for this weekend. This is your Club President in North Carolina complaining about the hurricane and safety of his players and you expect Rory to fly his team into it. Brief Update:This decision puts great pressure on our staff/players/coaches etc to prepare for trip in midst of storm. No decision is better than bad one. Safety remains our priority for all involved. I’m baffled & disappointed for our Courage family. STAY SAFE. Red Stars offered Toyota Park for yesterday Saturday. NC said no. They could have played in gorgeous weather.
This is depressing. I had no idea he was flaunting this garbage elsewhere. I was being semi-sarcastic but what a dishonest weasel you are @AndyMead. Go ******** yourself.

Check it out, Andy. 'The Windy City' nickname has nothing to do with weather. Its not particularly windy here except when the Hawk is coming down off Lake Michigan. In that case there is nothing between here and the North Pole except the Sault Ste. Marie locks. It is a New Yorkers lament that we successfully lobbied for the 1893 Worlds Fair. I hear a lot of whining for a guy who wants to be associated with Courage.
If any of you guys are looking for something to do tomorrow night, come to AJ Hudson's and watch the Red Stars vs. NC Courage Semi-Final - 8:00 pm
