The real star for Zambrano at DIM is Ricaurte, who set up most of Cano's goals. The guy is a serious late bloomer and easily has the best left foot I've seen all year. Lovely player, MLS clubs should be fighting over him.
Union apparently are getting Brazilian Sergio Santos of Chile's Audax Italiano. http://www.adnradio.cl/noticias/dep...quiere-ir-a-la-mls/20181204/nota/3833538.aspx
Either he was offered more money by the Union than Necaxa or he likes the idea of bringing his family to live in the US, which IMO, is a big advantage MLS has going for them. Or maybe it was both.
It's South America, the club's board isn't always there for the benefit of the club. It's common for these guys to get under the table payments from a buying club. They're probably upset because they can't scramble fast enough to get/negotiate/demand their cut.
The Swedish newspaper Expressen is reporting @Ibra_official has decided to turn down AC Milan to stay with @LAGalaxy. "According to our sources" a reporter tells me "the family have settled well in LA and his body can't manage the schedule in Europe." Stay tuned.— Kevin Baxter 🇺🇦🏳️🌈 (@kbaxter11) December 5, 2018
Hearing from sources that Atlanta United midfielder Miguel Almiron to Newcastle United is a done deal. There are a few things left to be done but probably will join in the winter transfer window. Possibly a loan deal with an option to buy of around £15m at the end of the season.— Roberto Rojas (@RobertoRojas97) December 5, 2018
Can’t see how a loan deal would make any sense for Atlanta in this situation unless they are being paid a fat chunk just for the 1/2 season loan. To me they either need to cash in big or keep him for CCL and sell him next summer.
Expect some new roster rules this offseason including more TAM and raising the TAM threshold past the 1.5m current cap #MLS— MLS Moves (@MLSMoves) December 5, 2018 If this is true (and I suspect it is) and they raise that TAM threshold up to 2 million then Alessandrini might stop being a DP. Heck, they could "re-negotiate" with JDS and drop him under 2 million as well if the MLSPU salary is correct (he is 4 cents over 2 million). These of course depend on how the transfer fees are factored in. Course it really does sound like they want GDS gone but ain't no one taking on his salary. I mean, Chicago would if it were a DP from Seattle but that is a whole other story.

A couple of Crew tidbits. Wil Trapp expected to transfer to somewhere in Europe when the window opens. Zak Steffen is being sold to Man City but they'll likely have to loan him out due to work permit reasons. He may be loaned back to Columbus, other leading option is Nice.
It's always amazing to see how MLS takes positive steps in player movement so consistently year after year. It's great to see that now we actually sell players. This means that we don't have to overpay players to bring them in and that we are developing better players.
This number does not include the pending Richards and Almiron sales. With Steffen and Adams transfers finalized, the total transfer sales of MLS in 2018 is now $41.4m and by far the most successful in history. The next most productive year in MLS selling players was in 2008 which netted $26.4m in sales (EJ, Altidore, Edu, etc.)— Tutul Rahman (@tutulismyname) December 7, 2018
Still not officially confirmed but sources say that Steffen went for 10 million. https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/sou...nsfer-to-manchester/l3kup5mq56831kirwmveojmuy
Looks like Adams' fee came in @ $3mln, with a 33% sell on clause. https://www.goal.com/en-us/news/sou...pzig-checks-in-at-3/q13tiqdvkqki1rkr3ay5ylmbd
Gosh! It matches NYRB's yearly loss .imagine that! It's a joke number for a 19 year old showing international level. I see a potential Arturo Vidal.
It sounds like it was 3-4 million below the market value given his contract situation. That's an abnormally large sell-on clause though. I don't think it's really outrageous.
There are gonna be a LOT of moves. Keep an eye on Dallas. https://t.co/FptwaW2z03— Matthew Doyle (@MattDoyle76) December 9, 2018
First 2 things i've seen today by sportswriters on twitter: Zac MacMath from Colorado to Vancouver Tesho Akindele from Dallas to Orlando
Colorado Rapids trading goalkeeper @ZacMacMath to @WhitecapsFC . Should hear more details soon ... #mls— Steven Goff (@SoccerInsider) December 9, 2018 Hope MacMath gets a fair shot in Vancouver. He was doing well for Colorado prior to Howard coming in.
