With the 2018-2019 MLS off-season fast approaching for all teams here's where we can can discuss all rumors and player movements. I'm sure fans of certain teams would debate that the 2018 season never really began for the team, but I digress. This off season is already looking like one of changes for at least some teams in the league.
Rumor: The Rapids will do something underwhelming while leaking vague promises about doing more in 2020 once the "bad contracts" are off the books
I'm confused as to why you are listing this as a rumor. Now to actual rumors: Jozy to Tigres? ¿Se acerca Jozy Altidore a @TigresOficial ?Se cocina intercambio de 2 Tigres (Enner y Sosa) al @torontofc y el americano a Felinos.Aún no está cerrado.Via @SancadillaNorte pic.twitter.com/BTvuAcuK5i— Elmer Polanco (@PolancoESA) November 22, 2018 Juninho to TFC? Breaking for @TheAthleticSCCR: Columbus Crew and MLS finalizing a transfer to send Zack Steffen to Manchester City for between $7 and $10 million, per multiple sources. https://t.co/vZRxHYS8ko pic.twitter.com/HATSYFVxG5— Paul Tenorio (@PaulTenorio) November 26, 2018 Hello playing in leagues that are equal to MLS but with a huge pay bump.
Anyone else get the feeling that FCC is going to be more Minnesota United (condolences @Bluecat82 ) than Atlanta United? https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2018/11/26/fc-cincinnati-sign-argentine-playmaker-emmanuel-ledesma I can't be the only one seeing a team signing players who couldn't hack it in MLS am I? I mean, McGlaughlin and Bone couldn't get minutes in MLS 5 years ago.......... And judging by the amount of players MLS teams are cutting loose so far..................the expansion draft (as usual) is either extremely slim pickings, or stupidly bad expensive contract pickings. On another note: Tyler Adams rumored to be going to Europe??? I'm shocked, simply shocked! https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2018/11/26/tyler-adams-opens-future-end-season-right-time-go-europe
Hmmm...and what do the FCC and MNUFC launches have in common? A very short runway. You'd think the league would learn. Of course, Miami's runway is so long they'll probably win the cup their first season. Actually, their runway has been so long, they may win the cup before their first season... [/B]
According to media in Mexico, Pareja is planning on raiding FC Dallas. A bunch of their players are entering the last year of their deals (Grueso, Urruti, Barrios, Gonzalez). Former FCD and USMNTer? Walker Zimmerman's MLS contract has ended. That's my guess. Could be Kellyn Acosta. FCD is going to look really different next season. Pareja is bringing much of his FCD staff as well. So lots of turnover amongst staff and roster. This FCD window is OVER. It's official. Next step? #Xolos and Pareja are working on bringing "at least" three players from FCD over to #LigaMXeng, as well as a former FCD player and current #USMNT man. https://t.co/paWkWFwqq7— Eric Gomez (@EricGomez86) November 27, 2018
Some more MLS to Liga MX news: I'm told Tony Alfaro is set to sign w/ Chivas Guadalajara. More details here: https://t.co/5EpoMikvtN— Ives Galarcep (@SoccerByIves) November 27, 2018
Well they did sign a DP before they have played a single game and said they will add another in the summer transfer window. Oh and they'll have 27k+ every game, not saying Minnesota did bad in that department, but it's 5k+ more a game.
Attendance has ZERO to do with quality player signings.............. Their DP signing is an inconsistent & injury prone goalscorer who was cut loose from a perennial playoff contender.

Football transfer rumours: Ashley Cole to Aston Villa or Derby County? Pep Guardiola is preparing to rubber-stamp a move for the USA No 1 Zack Steffen, whose summer switch from Columbus Crew to Bristol City fell through owing to work permit issues. -The Guardian Maybe City will put him out on loan until the work permit issues get resolved then sell him on for a profit.
Report: Reggie Cannon has multiple Liga MX offers on table; interim coach Dave Sarachan provides scouting report https://t.co/G2eCVgjTTl— 3rd Degree (@3rdDegreeNet) November 28, 2018
No, no, no. I refuse to hear any of this. This is not going to happen. And if it does he blows out his knee in the introductory press conference.
RSL reportedly made an offer for Argentinian striker German Cano, who had a whopping 32 goals in all competitions for Independiente Medellin in 2018. He turns 31 in January.
Heh, yeah your instincts were right. No truth to the rumour...
