You know what, on the whole it seems like a decent fixture list, all the big games are not clustered together with a good start and finish.....I suppose if you factor in CL then it may be a bit of a pile up later on
The Christmas time period is going to be tough luckily most games are at home, but playing Man City with only 2 days rest after Arsenal is going to put the depth to the test.
4 games in 11 days in the holiday period = ouch But on the whole a good and balanced list that provides us opportunities to start and finish well.
So a home game to start and another to finish off the season. Interesting. Not a bad start but then we did think that last season and it took a while to get everybody up speed. I remember the away start at Watford when the old failings were glaringly highlighted. Hopefully, van Dijk, Clyde, Robertson and Matip will be fresh and we’ll have a competent defensive unit.
Don’t forget to factor in CL group stage games. The reason why I think we need at least 2-3 more good-very good quality signings.
Full list with Cup/CL dates. 2018-19 Premier League fixture reaction. The season we win it? | https://t.co/fXCCh3VFoW | By @Samboevans pic.twitter.com/fSJfIXnKe8— AnfieldIndex (@AnfieldIndex) June 14, 2018 Decent schedule. Home games after all the CL group games. Arsenal/City over new years is tough. Chelsea home between the CL quarters. I like winning trophies, but hate all the extra games in December/January for the EFL cup.
Tottenham's first game in their new stadium will be against Liverpool on the weekend of 15-16 September.
if we stay in the domestic cup comps, we'll have 17 games between Nov 28 and Jan 30 - basically 2 games every week for 2 months. this includes 2 CL games and key Prem games vs Manure, City, Everton and Arsenal. we need a bigger boat.
The schedule is kind to us in terms of home games after the group stage games. But we have citeh, the bitters, and the scum as three of our opponents. Important to not have any letdowns in those matches.
https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/spo...liverpool-premier-league-tv-fixtures-14874044 Liverpool Premier League TV fixtures announced as six of first seven are moved - including West Ham opener
If, buts and all that. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...-unfortunate-team-Premier-League-2017-18.html
And before a ball has been kicked in anger in the new season, four matches have already been rescheduled. https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/310794-liverpool-fixtures-premier-league
6 of the first 7 games were rescheduled almost as soon as they were announced. standard procedure as the TV guys weigh in.
I have no doubt about the attraction of Liverpool-- poor Richard Sudamore must be tearing his hair out at that; it's just Liverpool is already on TV that much. I expect there will be more changes. By the way, I think Spurs was on TV more than Liverpool last season; leastways, it earned the most from TV.
