The international break is over and once again we open the Matchday on Friday at home vs Eintracht Frankfurt. Frankfurt was pretty much dismantled during the summer so we should be able to beat them, but this is Lucien Favre we're talking about so he'll probably be happy with another goalless draw. Three points and clean sheet please.

Yeah, Im not sure what to think we are capable of doing today. We seemed to lack creativity last match with Pulisic out and hes still out. I will interested to see who starts to energize the guys today.

I am not impressed with the selection. I hope he proves me wrong but I don't see why Wolf is starting.

I am worried about Weigl not making the squad even.

Yeah, I assume we are bringing on Weigl and perhaps Alcacer later but I would have liked to have seen something different than the borefest we saw last match

Yeah a lack of Weigl is cause for concern for me too

Need some shots on goal gentlemen.. quit trying to play the absolute perfect ball in and just start getting the goalie on his heels please

Not impressed at all by what I am seeing in this borish lineup. No creative link ups, no creative passing, no creative balls in... just utterly stagnate offense that cant possess the ball very long against what should be an overmatched Frankfurt team.

Anyone that thinks that this lineup can lead us to a Champions league group stage win or runner up even, are just fooling themselvfes.

Akanji and Dahoud are playing very well and passing through the lines excellently.

The flanks are offering nothing and LP is already having a poor game.

3 quality players on the pitch and they are showing and constantly linking up with each other.

If Akanji, Dahoud and Reus can continue to link up then things will look promising, but more quality is needed around them.

Im not sure if I missed one but we have no shots on goal and have possessed the ball for 65% of the time.. as I type this we get one.. Thank you.

    1-0 good guys,

I just dont ever come away impressed with Wolf. Why could Sancho not man that position?

Favre needs to learn from this. The team finishing the match is much closer to the team that should be starting.

When you have rubbish players like Schmelzer and LP at the back you are always liable to concede.

Sancho with his 2nd assist of the season.

We just have not created well,, the gulf in class between us and Bayern when we play is going to be terrible to watch. We may very well hold off the rest for a CL finish but its obvious that this season is snow white and the seven dwarves

Things I would like to see soon... VERY SOON.. Weigl, Pulisic, Sancho, Alcacer on the pitch a lot more..

The quality just isnt there with the team I am watching. I dont care if its Pulisic or Sancho manning their positions, Witsel needs to be on more than Delaney as well..

Delaney is just so clumsy to me and pretty much someone who just gets in the way disrupts everything, what we are trying to do and what the other team is trying to do..

Beautiful goal by Alcacer in his first game. He had a few good scenes before that as well. He might become a great loan/transfer.
