I contend that average or worse soccer players get their true abilities magnified in direct proportion to the craziness/length of their hair. Lalas, Beckerman, Lenhart, Jermain Jones, Brek Shea, Yedlin etc, etc. They try to be like international superstars such as Valdorama, Beckham, Neymar, Ronoldo, Fellani, David Luiz, Balotelli. I even see this at youth level. Young kid grows his hair long or maybe has a mohawk, he must be good right?

At least (old) Yankee Stadium was used many times for soccer for quite a number of years. And it isn't plastic.
We need fewer NFL stadiums in MLS, not more. Story on Detroit by @BrianStraus https://t.co/XaFQ7k1jvj— Subscribe to GrantWahl.com (@GrantWahl) November 2, 2017
So it seems like Gilbert found a way to build his big mixed use development on Gratiot without having spend money on including a stadium. Instead he'll use the Lions house where he probably hopes to emulate Atlanta's success. Maybe it would work. But Ford Field doesn't hold a candle to MBS. Not sure if this will appeal to MLS and help the bid or hurt it. One things for sure though. That bid now consists of 3 billionaires. They shouldn't have a problem affording big name players. If MLS does bring them in.....I bet theyll come out swingin, like Atlanta.
Sounds like Altidore and Sasha were thrown out at halftime of the Toronto-Pink Cows game. Would be nice to have Altidore be suspended.
Referee is from Akron. I've been reffed by him many times. He's had a bitch of a match to try to control. The commentary crew missed the most obvious reason for the disallowed goal late on: linesman was standing with his flag up. I do disagree with Ale also, though. It was a foul, too.
PENSO was signaling a foul, not offside. When you signal offside you put the arm straight up for indirect kick, or point to the flag. He called a foul. The play WAS offside, and I'm assuming he recognized that eventually, but he made up his mind before that. (I don't disagree with either call, by the way.)
More footage from the tunnel brouhaha between #TORvNY. https://t.co/aTYQ2z5501— Andrew Wiebe (@andrew_wiebe) November 6, 2017
I can't make anything out from that tunnel video. But his tweet about snitching would seem to indicate he knows he did something wrong. But a question; I'm not sure how Sasha gets a yellow during the first altercation (unless there was more than the shove that's been shown in the clip going around about it). I mean Altidore is obviously the aggressor yelling at him from an inch away from his face. Sasha's not allowed to mildly defend himself from a perceived threat? He doesn't know what Altidore might do Altidore's sadly become a diva (or maybe he's always been one)
