I do think it would be a decent move to push Stuver down to 3rd choice and bring in an older proven GK who's old enough to be happy to be somewhere getting paid but doesn't need to start. I don't know who that player is but sometimes I think we could use a couple more vets on the team for leaderships sake even if they aren't starters. Guys with some fortitude who don't break down when the going gets tough. Just a thought.

We are at the top of the allocation order!

Let's get someone who makes a impact like when we snatched up Kei Kamara on allocation.
Maybe a upgrade will fall in our lap again!

Is there anyone worth going after who would realistically want to sign with us? (Allocation order)

Looking at the list....i would take either of SKCs former players Krisztian Nemeth or Oriol Rosell. I would even go off the deep end and sign former Whitecap, Camilo (regardless of his drama with the league) because he scored goals as if it were his profession.

Those are all productive players that I could see returning to the league that I wouldn't mind here.

Nemeth is good, but he's a meram type. Right footer cutting in from the left.

Camilo.... he's like 5'6'' or something, not all about them crosses.

Here are a few Americans forwards the Crew could bring back to the US. I am looking at America because they don't take up Int'l slots which the Crew don't have. Also under 500k because the Crew are not going to spend DP money on a second forward or winger. Second forwards who could actually score. . .

I love this kid. Buy him, play him and trade Finlay to any MLS for anything you can get for them.

Does this give the additional dreaded "gosh, injuries really hurt us" excuse?

Kristo has spent 2.5 years now in the Italian and now German 3rd divisions. I'm assuming we still hold his MLS rights? It doesn't appear that he's been very productive in his time in Europe but dude was a beast in college. I imagine he can't be worse than Jahn. Jahn needs competition for his cozy spot on the bench. And he wouldn't take up much cap space.

Johnsen would undoubtedly take Jahns spot and probably feature in games a lot. Probably would get along personally with Ola well. Both in their mid-20s, from Norway. Johnsen just got called up to the Norwegian National Team (a call up that for sure should've been Olas instead so that could be awkward but maybe not as it would ensure both get solid minutes to stay content, Ola with Crew, Bjorn with Norway). The added plus is Johnsen is an American citizen so no international spot needed.

Kiesewetter totally seems like a Crew signing. I'd be fine with it. Not sure I would ditch Finlay though....id rather move Manneh since we don't seem very committed to him....and let Jerome and Ethan duke it out for the starting spot.

Berhalters going to sign a guy that sounds perfect on paper this summer and it's going to restore a tiny bit of faith in the faithful. Doesn't mean sh*t if Gregg can't manage a game.

    Do something right, Crew.

I think it is because after the July 4th game, there are no game until the 22nd. Therefore he has an extra 2 1/2 weeks to recover.

Well, isn't this the same thing that jacked up Pipa's entire 2016 season? Hansen's going to miss like a month.

Everyone's different, obviously, but I had the same reaction: Wow, that's quick.

Didn't they call Higuain issue a sports hernia? They are calling Hansen a Inguinal hernia..found this little comparison.

A sports hernia is an overuse injury that results in a torn, strained or weakened wall of the lower abdomen. In an inguinal hernia—one of the most common types of hernias—part of the intestine pushes through the abdominal wall. A sports hernia may be more painful than an inguinal hernia, but the hernia does not protrude through the wall.

Sounds like the inguinal is just cut it out,sew it up and heal. the Sports hernia sounds more like a long term, nagging type issue that doesn't seem to go away quickly.

    No.

I hate stupid silly season rumors, but this one isn't even a rumor. An Everton supporter decided to theorize which players playing in MLS could help Everton. This is as worthwhile as if MassiveReport decided to write a piece about how great it'd be if we sign Pogba.
