Edu is now confirmed to be training as a full participant. You have toThink that the log jam in the midfield with him returning would keep them for bringing yet another midfielder in. Presumably means pushing Bedoya out right if Mo is ready to go.

 

What season ending injury do we think he'll have on the eve of his return this time?

 

I'm going to just hum along and hope third time's the charm for now.

 

No joke, I'm so skeptical at this point that I'm not 100% sure Kinkead isn't trolling people when he says he's training fully.

 

Not really KK's style and I'm pretty sure he'd never mention Edu if he could avoid it. Besides, a full strength Edu is a game changer for this team if he can slot in next to Haris. Instantly upgrades the defense, takes pressure off Haris, and gets Bedoya more engaged in attack.

 

does it really help us in this formation? It pushes Bedoya to the 10? Not so sure that solves our issues... not to mention Mo hasn't played in what? 2 years? Who knows how capable he even is at this point.. I'm not convinced it'd be better than Jones pairing with Haris to push Alejandro up.

 

Nah, I saw enough of Ale at CAM already. I think you push him to the right side and throw Alberg into the 10. Doesn't matter as much that Roland isn't defending if Bedoya is up there to do dirty work. It's not a perfect fit but this isn't a team that can leave its best players on the bench just because they don't fit, so you gotta figure out how Mo, Ale, and Haris can work together. Other option is Mo at CB but I'm cool with what we have there already.

Of course Edu could just never regain his form, making this a non-issue.

 

When is the last time Mo played soccer?

He is fun to clown on, but ask yourself, what Union player has ever wanted 'it' more than Local Helmet? Le Toux? Maybe Califf? I respect that.

That said, beyond Pontius, is there any other Union player that was more injury prone? It's like he has no body awareness diving forward.

 

Has been injured while with the Union? Mo Edu has missed more games due to injury then likely any other Union player. Maybe even combined.

Yaro's gotta be up there in injuries for sure.

Plus I gotta pick up that card for the bench of my Union generations squad now LOL.

I thought I read somewhere that he hasn't counted towards the salary cap for a while.

 

Why not try the U8 formation with Edu and just have a bunch of guys running around in the middle of the pitch? Not like the vaunted 4231 doesn't end up that way most of the game anyway.

Probably not if the Zlatan rumors are true but yeah, definitely like a Seattle/TFC/ NYCFC/Atlanta kind of player.

 

He's going to LAFC. Zlatan is rumored to be going to LA Galaxy.
