I can't think of a player that has scored as much as he does with so little effort.

In a baseball analogy, is he a home run hitter with a low batting average? Not sure how analytics for this work in soccer. It's very strange to have a poacher as a midfielder.

He hasn't been on the injury report recently. I would like to see him on the bench and come at some point.

Didn't the Union do that with Albright for his last game a few years ago?

Team's got nothing to play for. I'm cool with him running out there for 60 minutes as captain of the team, being subbed off to an ovation. He deserves some kind of acknowledgment and sendoff (into his Union coaching position).

In the most Brian Carroll thing ever (other than him taking a shot from outside the 18 and skying it way over the crossbar) he's moving to Indy to become a financial planner.

    Rosenberry's season is over

Have to imagine that at least 1 of the 2016 first rounders isn't coming back next year.
Herbers was actually decent before he caught the Edu-bug, but the other 2...

Excited to see how Curtin can mismanage Jack Elliot next year.

Given the state of things, can he stay here as a financial planner?

I remember one of those cringey player question sessions years ago - what would you be if you weren't a soccer player - everyone else said kinda sports-related things: 'personal trainer', 'teacher'... then BC says 'financial adviser'. :D

Found my reason to get myself down to the Park for the final match. One of my all-time favorite MLS players.

He was nearing the end when he came to the Union so he was prone to ups & downs, and I'm sad for the fans who only saw that part of his career. He was truly a master of the "old style" DM and had a HoF career if you look back over his entire resume.

"Now that the games don't matter the Union had to find a new way to look like thin skinned a$$holes."

Blake is staying right? I remember reading the article a month ago that mentioned he had some foreign interest from the PL, but since Jamaica is ranked so lowly, he wouldn't pass the work permit rule or something.

    That’s just the U.K. FA.

Everyone talks about all the salary coming off the books, but Blake is now on his options. Wouldn’t be shocked if he wanted more to stay. By my rough math, his $148k salary ranks 18th(!!!!!) in league keepers.

I'm not aware of how much keepers are payed in mid-tier leagues but I reckon he could earn far more in Belgium or Turkey. But I also figure he'd wanna go to England.

Probably the only way for him to get to England right now is to play in another Euro league for a season or two anyway. I think his straight-to-England path is basically closed right now.

I read something that Blake moving to certain Euro countries could be blocked for the time being because Jamaica's FIFA world ranking is low enough that getting a work permit waiver is difficult. Not sure how true that is though.

For some reason I thought that was just his move to England. Like, English FA wouldn't clear him for a permit because Jamaica wasn't good enough. I remember when Agudelo wanted to move to England he couldn't go directly but was able to play at Utrecht for a season first (I know he's USMNT but I don't think he had many senior caps at the time).

Really weird since Blake has like 30 or so caps with Jamaica. Probably their most recognizable player at the moment. Maybe he might have gotten a special consideration. Or maybe even loaned out to a Belgium or Netherlands.

If after the MLS vigorish, you clear $2M+, you sell and use those funds immediately on an attacking option. A real DP.
