EWWWW!!!! Klenofsky (monmouth) GK - moves well - poor hands. Best GK remaining.

    Big tall kid.

    Goalkeeper Eric Klenofsky.

This seems forced by Hamid's continuing injury problems. Yet another season where we spend at least part of the season with 4 keepers on the roster.

I don't get that pick unless we think Horton is expendable.

DCU up again, I wouldn't be surprised Bakie Goodman (Gtown). Oh, see Rimstand (Radford) - 25 yo. Defender. International - meh

    That first round

    That second round

Then again, those second round picks are basically practice fodder. They'll compete with trialists for the 2-3 roster spots we have open.

Do we really think anyone after the 2nd round is actually going to make the team? Without a USL side anything after the 1st round is a waste of time these days.

International picks have a much bigger impact for other teams that already have international players.

We needed a third keeper after Bill's injury. With his recovery time tbd and Dykstra moving to SKC, we only have Worra(solid backup) and Horton(unproven).

I'm guessing if Klefnovsky shows well in camp and early in the season, he'll take over as the third string keeper over Horton and become Worra's primary backup when Bill isn't available.

He's certainly a project and I've only seen him in a couple games, but there's a reason many experts considered him the best GK in this draft pool. I like him. Reminds me of good old Joe Willis.

Goal.com anointed DC United as the winner in this year's draft, saying they picked the best RB and Keeper in the draft pool.

FWIW, Will Parchman on mlssoccer.com gave us a quite respectable "A-".

Meanwhile, he gave that so-called professional soccer team in northern New Jersey an "A+", entirely (from the look of it) on account of their newbie Zeiko Lewis' (who?) now famous "chip-on-his-shoulder" podium speech. A "Cowchip-on-his-shoulder" podium speech, more like.

Far from an A+, Goal.com categorized the Cowchip kid's new team as a "Draft Day Loser", despite the rant . . .

Zeiko Lewis, please. How was that chip during their shutout loss to Albany in the second round of the NCAA's? Surely such a prodigious talent would score against the likes of Albany. GTFO.

Do Durkin and Harkes count as part of our "draft" year? :)

    ?

NY was offering allocation money so they could move up and get Odoi-Atsem. No player was involved on either team's end.

Pass in fourth round. What is the downside of making a pick?
