The other shoe (fatigue, lack of rotation/depth) drops, but it's only a flip-flop, not a steel-toed boot. 1-1 draw.
We really shouldn't not win, but I still think Jim could hold us back here. There's no reason we couldn't get away with a rotated squad this week, but they'll never get the chance.
Thrashed conference foes back to back√ Won a game up a man√ Beat a good team at home mid-week√ Beat a bad team on short rest??? #notyourfathersunion
I would say we're going to lose because MLS, but "because MLS" would mean that we're a good team and will lose because MLS is crazy and sometimes the results go completely against expectations. I've been burned by the Union too many times to have a short 4 game stretch totally change my view of the team from dumpster fire to straight fire. Lack of squad rotation and the fact that we can't have nice things sees the return of Slumpbuster FC. Loss.
Will Curtin try that fancy fangled European idea known as rotation? Unlikely. Tired legs equals a tired performance. Draw.
They have never had 4 MLS wins in a row. Last time we won 3 in a row was 2014: v. San Jose v. TFC @ TFC they also did it once in 2012. @ LAG v. TFC v. Montreal Longest unbeaten streak is 8 games, they did it in 2011 and last year: 2011: 3 wins and 5 ties. 2016: 2 wins and 6 ties. Current unbeaten streak at 5. Oh, and to make things even more Bizzaro... as far as I can tell 4 Clean sheets in a row has never happened in Union History.... the 2017 Union are breaking good records? wait... what?
It's almost as if the new signings have adjusted to their new teammates, and the new league they play in or something........who knew those things took a bit longer then just a handful of preseason practices and friendlies......
Axel Sjoberg should be back for Colorado tomorrow night. He makes a major difference for Colorado. He was in the 18 on Wednesday but did not play. The expectation is that he starts tomorrow night. A lot of people are talking about "rotation". What would be the ideal lineup for the Union tomorrow night? Curtin said that Ilinsho "emptied the tank" on Wednesday. Pontius talked about "tired legs." Can Gooch play 3 games in 8 days and still be effective? Which of the following should get the start tomorrow night: Marquez, Rosenberry, Herbers, Simpson, Najem, Creavalle?
I expect Marquez for Gooch the only change. Colorado are in Mastroeni's image, skinny kids like Najem and Herbers will get blown away.
Four changes: Najem at the 10 for tired Ilsinho, Marquez for Gooch, Herbers for Pontius. Keegan for Ray.
