Its good move imo.. Short time no clubs will allow there players to leave plus suddenly pausing the league for this competition is of no brains..Also , the WC teams spying on us will be all in different level..

Is Saudi FA and / or Saudi National Team Coach spying on Russia and Urguay ?...
    If not, then should do.

It's our local team without the foreign based players (Ali Adnan, Brwa Nouri, Ahmed Yasin, Justin Meram).

    UAE 0 - 0 KSA

KSA player # 4 played UAE players onside in the foul taken by UAE in the last minutes of the injury time of the game, the defenders should learn on how not to play opposing team's players onside...

it is an art for defender to learn on how to play the opposing team's players off-side.

Similarly, it's an art for forward to learn on how to avoid being off-side and should learn to make the run while being onside.

The coach has a part to play by replaying video clips of the game to make the defenders learn the mistakes and not to repeat them while making the defenders understand on how to make the opposing team's players offside on set pieces such as foul and / or free-kicks.

    Final Matchday -

    KSA vs Oman -
Oman needs to win the game and KSA has to draw or win to proceed. If lost , they need Kuwait to beat UAE by good goal margin.

    Kuwait vs UAE -
Draw or Win for UAE will send them through , lost means they need Oman to beat KSA by huge goal margin.

Oman and UAE advanced to the semifinals.

Kind of expected. Saudi Arabia played with a second string side in this tournament to test out players ahead of the World Cup.

This was expected for Saudi Arabia i.e., Group Exit. But it was not expected for Oman to qualify and Kuwait to miss out on semi-final.

Anyways, for Saudi Arabia, it was a good opportunity to test 2nd string side in which, Nouh Al Moosa, Mohamed Kanno and Ahmed Al Bahbri are a good find while Salman Al Moasher and Ahmed Al Faraidy were promising players.

Next target for Saudi Arabia is to finalize the squad to play in the world cup and arrange good friendly matches against moderate teams i.e., having FIFA ranking between 15 to 25.

As for Strikers, Saudi Arabia have no option but to include Mohamed Al Sahlawi, Nasser Al Shamrani, Naif Al Hazzazi in the team as experienced players while can look into accommodating Mojahed Al-Munea and Muhannad Asiri in the team. Mukhtar Falatah did Not impress much in the Gulf Cup I am afraid.

I was hoping Mukhtar to impress but he did not. We are back to square1..Plus you missed, Assaf Al Qarni is a good GK IMO.
So the defence is settled, Midfield we have surplus options only needed is the finishing and as said, we got to rely on Sahlawi, Naif Hazazi and Muhannad Asiri...
