Hanoi FC training at Hong Kong Stadium last night. They are without 3 key players including two of their foreigners, for reasons unknown. But Kitchee coach Chu Chi-Kwong is not going to be complacent. He says his team must be very focused and careful if they want to win the match and go through. Captain Lo Kwan-Yee said they just won the Senior Challenge Shield in the stadium 10 days ago and are confident of winning another big match.
Wow, I didn't see this earlier, I don't know how I missed it. Now I see that only a few of you guys played it. I wouldn't play or run it if there were only a few players. I will start a thread and will see if there's interest. If there are at least 15 interested guys, it will be played. P.S. Let's go, Kitchee!
Kitchee - TT Ha Noi 3-2 aet Hong Kong side first scores in 84th minute to get into the extra time then they score winning goal in 123rd minute. They travel to Ulsan to face home side in playoff round. Win = CL spot, loss = end of continental journey.
Kitchee vice-captain Lam Kar-Wai scored the match winning goal in the dying minutes of extra time. He has been criticized before for his lack of stamina, but coach Chu Chi-Kwong hopes this performance will dispel that. Ulsan Hyundai next, Let's go Kitchee!
Alex Akande, who scored the second goal for Kitchee against Hanoi FC last night then fell down injured, reported on Facebook that he is okay. Hopefully he will be fit to face Ulsan Hyundai on 7 Feb. He is the main striker for the club in the ACL.
If you dont get the interest of at least 10 Iranians wanting to bitch-slap everyone else then you're going to struggle. Can't see many people having the interest of both the western groups and the eastern groups.
Global FC just got together from their long offseason last week and the Tampines Rover match game was their very first game this season(without any preseason matches played) so I don't really expect much from them, especially against strong teams from Australia and China. Their new coach(the Japanese former head coach of Mongolia and Chinese Taipei) also took over the team for a few days earlier and only had 4 training sessions with the team prior to their first preliminary match against the Rovers .
Brisbane Roar - Global 6-0 Australian side moves to play-off round where they travel to China to face Carlos Tevez and his Shanghai Shenhua.
Jeonbuk Motors are appealing their expulsion from the ACL through the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS). If their appeal is successful then they will be back in the ACL group stage, Jeju United will host Kitchee and Ulsan Hyundai will not play. The appeal will be heard on 3 Feb while Jeju United/Ulsan Hyundai vs Kitchee match is on 7 Feb. Kitchee's league match against Hong Kong Pegasus on 4 Feb has been postponed by HKFA to give Kitchee time to prepare for the Korean ACL qualifying match.
Sukhothai (Thailand ) 5-0 Yadanarbon (Myanmar) Bangkok United (Thailand) 0-1 AET Darul Takzim (Malaysia)
Big result for Malay side. I hope they won't suffer big time against Gamba - I'd even say that out of all teams on East zone they have the best chance, even bigger than Brisbane.
That is kind of fvcked up, the game is in Korea right, so does Kitchee now has to buy tickets to Busan and to Jeju just in case? They better buy some cancelation insurance.
Yes, Kitchee's manager mentioned that their team will take an extra domestic flight from Busan to Jeju in case their opponent changes from Ulsan Hyundai to Jeju United on Feb 7. Fortunately, Pegasus FC agreed to postpone the local league match against Kitchee on Feb 4.

Ahmad Maher Wridat became the first Palestinian to score in the Asian Champions League with his opening goal for Wehdat v. Bengaluru.
Jeonbuk Motors lost its appeal at the CAS. That means Ulsan Hyundai will play Kitchee as planned. Jeju United will be in the ACL group stage.
Guys, I'll give you another reminder that there's ACL prediction game. So, if you are interested, you are free to join. http://forums.bigsoccer.com/threads/prediction-game-acl-masters.2038438/
Kitchee have arrived in their hotel at Ulsan, they will have their first training session in the evening.
Feb 21: West Asian El Clasico! Al Hilal (Saudi top team) vs Persepolis (Iranian top team) Teams Club Positions in their local leagues Persepolis in Persian Gulf Pro League Al Hilal in Saudi Professional league
Kitchee coach Chu Chi-Kwong said playing in the ACL group stage is the dream of the whole team and they must play smart and carefully if they are to win. Captain Lo Kwan-Yee said he thinks Ulsan Hyundai are not in their top form yet and they will try to overcome their opponents even though the weather is to the Hong Kong club's disadvantage.
Where will it be played? Persepolis' form has been sick, they don't remember when they conceded last time. Seems like Ivanković can't lose the title this time, they are great and they concede just 0.25 gpg. Awesome.
