Actually does moving it closer make it easier to defend it? I’m confused

An open 3 is NOT better than a 99% open 2 point layup/dunk shot. That's just bad basketball. And it's killing the NBA. You would have to be shooting 65% from the 3point line to make it worth passing up on the open layup attempt (or be at the end of the game in which you NEED 3 points to tie the game).

I must admit I used to love the old days with inside play from cs and 4s

New version of the league is profoundly boring.

It’s good in a different way but I’m a huge fan of post play

Meh. Whenever I watch old games from like the early 2000s I really appreciate the NBA nowadays. The game seems faster, with more actions happening and better spacing for said actions. Just my view.

So true, also those Curry crossover's with behind the back moves and turn around three pointers are as exciting as the NBA can get. As the saying goes ''if you don't like that, you don't like NBA basketball''.

You still have a lot of post player's in the NBA (Embiid, Towns, even guards like Butler, Westbrook etc.), but movement without the ball and spacing is so much better, that it isn't even comparable.

Pistol Pete was much more exciting to watch.

This is watered down playground ball.

I call bullshit. The attention to detail in today's game has never been higher. The inteligent plays of teams like the Spurs, Celtics and Warriors are something we haven't seen and are the reason they're breaking record's every year.

The same can be said for the today's star players (especially Lebron).

Sixers win their 14th straight! Another team for the Cavs to worry about in the playoffs, I guess.

I noticed the standings (on ESPN.com and other places) list Philly and Boston ahead of the other division leaders. Did they change the rules or something? Does winning your division not ensure you a top 3 seed anymore?

I've been really impressed with the 6ers. They could be the East team to foil James this year IMO.

I don't think they could make it past Toronto. I'm sure the Cavs will look a lot more dominating in the playoffs.

    Warriors without Curry however...

Yeah, guess the teams are ranked regardless of their standing in their division. But then what's the point of having divisions? Odd.

I'm not going to count out that Toronto could Toronto in the playoffs. They've choked too many times for me to invest in Raptors stock at the moment.

They had 3 divisions becaise it used to be div title gets a top 3 seed... but then one year a bunch of people complained when the 2nd best record that in the west didn't win their division and were thus the 4 seed, so they changed it to record.

I think division title should be a top 3 seed, make it mean something. Divisions will never be perfectly balanced, but if you want that top seed win a division!

As bad as the Wizards have been all ********ing year... Im still looking foward to playing Toronto above Boston or Cleveland.

Toronto couldnt even win the regular season series against us, without John Wall.

Man, the West playoff picture is still so confusing. 6 teams are fighting for the last 5 spots. Being a Warriors fan, I don't event know who I would prefer to play. In any other year, I'd want to avoid Spurs, but maybe they are not as dangerous as Pelicans/Jazz this year. I definitely do not yet want to see OKC.

KD isn't fit to carry that team. I'd be surprised if they managed to win it all.

I’d say the Nuggets and T-wolves are fairly evenly matched.

The Clippers have a young team and have two picks that will likely be in the top 15.

    They won for sure.
