No Castro in the starting line-up. Let's hope he's benched permanently. Unfortunately Dahoud isn't even on the bench.

Mo Dahoud is sick. He's had issues with his teeth as well.

Why doesn't Castro suffer from this kind of crap?

It's to his credit he is fit for most of the season. I don't wish injury on Castro, I just want the manager to not play him.

It looks like the team might be playing 3 at the back.

I was worried to see Dahoud not in the squad, but thankfully it is just illness and hopefully he is fit for the weekend.

Build up looks good. Passing is a little... optimistic. Too many aggressive passes getting picked off.

They aren't giving APOEL enough respect, I think. They are trying things that make it seem like they expect a somewhat easy breakthrough.

It took 7 years to figure out Jurgen Klopp. It's taken 7 games to figure out Peter Bosz.

The team is hardly creating any chances. Theyre playing a style of football that's outdated and taught at youth academies to initiate new footballers.

I'd bet PB would fade into oblivion if he got canned by BVB.

    Would you fire him already?

And if yes who would replace him?

What did Auba think he was going to get by keeping that on his feet against three defenders?

Yes. I'd hire Thomas Tuchel. You ran right into that one. This BVB squad is stacked with intelligent players. Raphael is coming back by next week. Marco at the end of Jan. And he has Yarmolenko, Sancho and Toljan to work with.

Bürki with a series of errors to gift them the goal. Bürki has moments of high quality but he keeps making the case for another keeper that pushes him to fight for the number 1 spot.

The players seem to have gotten worse under Peter Bosz too.

1:1 Sokratis. Not a surprise that it's one of our defenders who scored.

Burki was hugely improved last season , but is still too error prone and for not good enough for to be our number 1 . He's not the best for his country and is not in the best 2 in Buli

I guess it's pretty clear now why Dutch football is failing in Europe.

Toljan is getting abused on the wings last two games.

Toljan really needs to work on his positioning in relation to the opponent. That almost cost us again.

I think a little more experience and Pulisic scores that. He got his arm too close the defender who just hooked his arm and pulled him back. Not enough for a penalty (clearly a foul, but the bar is higher in the box) but enough to break up his timing. He needs to be aware and not put is harm in such an easy place to grab.

If every player looks bad multiple matches in a row then I find it hard to blame the players. Unless it's one of Castro, Schürrle or Rode.

This is not great watching. Nobody is combining well on offense. It is like a series of pick-up ball attacks where no one really has a plan, just "make your best individual play and hope something comes together".

And we are out of the CL.

    It's all Aki Watzkes fault.

One last chance, the best of the game. I guess it is fitting that somehow that didn't go in.

PB needs to work harder at the plan. Right now the team is worse than the sum of its parts.
