Didn't even realize we played today. But we beat Oleiros 4-2 with a completely different squad. Palhinha with 2 goals and Podence with 3 assists were the main highlights. Matheus Oliveira and Rafael Leão with the other goals.

Was a nice goal from Palhinha. Good work from Podence on it. I wish we wore our Stromp kits more frequently though.

    SCP back in action today!

Sporting vs. Famalicão @ 3:30 pm EST

    GK: Patricio & Salin
Defense: Andre Pinto, Ristovski, Tobias, Coentrão, Jonathan, Coates, Ivanildo
Midfield: Bruno Fernandes, Bruno Cesar, Mattheus, Battaglia, Gelson Martins, Petrovic, Palhinha
Forwards: Gelson Dala, Bas Dost, Podence

No Iuri Medeiros - doesn't look like Iuri is gonna be staying.

Ivanildo gets the call-up which is great - no Piccini or William though, still a strong squad for this game. Hopefully Bruno Fernandes and Gelson don't start though

Didn't watch the game, but Jonathan and Coentrao both started :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

So our only alternative to Coentrao is Jonathan and JJ plays them both? And Jonathan was subbed off injured early on which meant Gelson came in and played almost the whole game, when he could have been rested for Olympiakos.

Now we just need Coentrao injured and we'll have Bruno Cesar at LB

2 balls off the bar and Alan Ruiz is a waste man. Pretty much the summary of this first half.

Oh and Doumbia scores in the 44th minute to make it 1-0. Nice cross from Alan Ruiz, Bryan gets a touch on it and Doumbia taps in the rebound

    Correction: 4-0 SCP

Good win in the end, Alan Ruiz can't even play well against a 3rd tier side and was booed off. Gelson came on in the 60th and pretty much won the game for us with his speed and skill. Obvious man of the match has to be Doumbia for his hat trick.

Perfect, just what the doctor ordered for Doumbia after a long absence

    Match day!

Cova de Piedade vs. Sporting CP

Winner goes to the 2-legged semi-final vs. either FC Porto or Moreirense.

We could have 4 matches vs. Porto in 3 different competitions in the next month or so (League Cup end of this month, two legs in the Portugal Cup and a league match at the Dragao in early March).

We lack intensity. Not surprising when you have Bruno Cesar and Bryan Ruiz starting.

Bryan Ruiz at CM? Bruno Cesar on the right? Why not give Iuri a chance, he's been getting better? Oh nevermind you have to be at least 27 years old to start.

Two best chances in this first half are for Cova de Piedade - and both off the post.

I'm convinced that he's getting all this time to be showcased for a sale.
