Three new owners added to David Beckham's Miami expansion team

My guess is that Miami Beckham FC enters for the 2019 season, then the next 2 expansion teams start in 2020, bringing MLS to 26 clubs.

All of them would be better than an empty roster spot...

Okugo would be an upgrade to have in the Watson role - providing cover at multiple positions. Soni Mustivar is a good defensive midfielder. Quite a decent fullbacks available too, including Sheanon Williams. Nobody that I would be thrilled to have in our first choice starting lineup, but plenty of players that can fill out the bottom part of the roster cheaply.

A few guys out there depending on their salary would be upgrades over Woodbury, Watson etc...

"Teal Bunbury and Andrew Farrell are NOT available for selection in the Re-Entry Draft, which would indicate that either the #NERevsextended them bona fide offers, or they withdrew themselves from the process."

That's the kind of thing a journo or one of us might speculate about, but I would think that a club spokesman would know which of those two scenarios it was. If he's allowed to publicly tweet this, I would think no one at the Foxboro Kremlin would have an issue of him actually telling the public the real reason why they are not available.

Oh, and I'm glad they are back. It would have been a shame to lose a useful player like either of those for nothing.

I honestly don't think the Revs tell Lemieux very much. He seems as in-the-dark about transfers and contracts as any of us.

Sure, but as a club employee who posts to social media, he should be given info, or at least ask for clarification on things like this. He's not the same as a journalist who is coming up with dead ends and the team doesn't want to give out info.

Looks like Nashville might be the first of the two winners.

Have you not been following this team for 20+ years?
Jeff L. knows, but isn't supposed to disclose it. The simplest explanation is the most likely.

But that's one of the many thousands of things the Revs just don't get. Some people think I'm too critical of them on these "little" things that "don't matter," but fans want to know this stuff. It isn't top-secret strategy that would put them at a disadvantage if it ever leaked out. This is normal hot-stove stuff about player moves.

The repercussions of this is that people who are interested enough in this stuff to be serious followers of the team (people the Revs should want MORE of) at some point are just gonna say the hell with it, and stop caring. And that means stop buying tickets, etc. You'd think that Bob and his imbecile son, Uday would have seen what is going on in half the cities in the league and thought that maybe, just maybe they might do 10% of what we see in Seattle, Toronto, Portland, Atlanta, etc. and see an uptick in interest. Nah, it's just too much trouble. Keeping your own employees in the loop and allowing them to present normal information about the team to fans? Whaaaa?

In general, I agree - they should share more in the interest of promoting fan interest. But, this may actually fall into the realm of player/agent-team negotiations; and players/agents may not be comfortable with the team sharing this information.

OTOH, so Jonathan Kraft is an imbecile? o_O

I'm kind of partial to "Tenn SC", but I could get behind "Tennessee Tuxedos" also...

I'm kinda partial to a road trip there! :D

As a matter of fact, I'll do some scouting for the Riders when I go in April on vacation.
