How can they say this when they don't even know when the competition will be played?

Wherever the competition held we will send our second tier team. Mainly our abroad players from lower division European clubs. Actually to me its not even our second tier team. Its just an amateur team.

This news from yesterday. You can google-translate it.

Today most of our FB pages are talking about an European based team to participate in the GC.

Not sure if its a good idea or not but we have the WCQ to focus on.

Yes, the World cup qualifiers to focus on, but the point that the competition might not even take place until December 2017 seems like Iraq haven't taken notice of whats going on.

For a federation to announce that they will do this and that before they even know whats happening really strikes me as amateur.

It may be delayed to January. Any way you should be used to our FA nonsense decisions.

I think it's a good choice to put a B-team together for friendly tournaments like the Gulf Cup. It's a good opportunity to give new players some international experience.

Besides UAE and KSA in our WCQ group. Its wise to avoid any clashes against them in the Gulf Cup. But if its our B team then i think it should be fine.

Jorvan Vieira nominated to coach Iraq B team in the Gulf cup.
This could turn to be a disastrous Tournament for us.
