What a waste of a corner. Can't they just put in a proper corner against a shorter side? What is with the stupid short corner routine!?
bold move for japan's coach to sub in another attacker with the game tied, at 75th min. they mean to take the win
even we were up two goals, we were knocking on their goals for third goal and came very close. at down two goals, japan gambled and gotten two goals back. more credits japan for not giving up.
If this is the core we're taking to Rio, there's no hope. We're going to give away goals like a middle eastern side after the first goal goes in against us.
that was incredible game. and japan showed us what to do when the team in down two goals. i guess they evened up the score from the 2012 bronze medal game.
Eh we got rope a doped. Spent all out energy in first half and helpless in second half. Players' inexperience and bad management. What else is there to say. That first half is the best I've ever seen this team play I gotta say. This has never been a great team but at least they're improving. I can't believe they blew their load and had nothing left second half like that. I saw that coming when they were jumping everywhere playing the best football of their lives first half.
The latter second half went on exactly as I worried about... our concentration and stamina went down the gutter so quickly and Japanese coach won this by subbing in guys at the right time. Congrats to them, this is the one for them to remember for a long time, and it's crazy how they came back time and time again almost every game. Glad this game wasn't played with the Olympic berth on the line.
it's incredible how quickly sbs went to regular broadcast after the game. congrats to japan. much kudos for not giving up. japan's coach teguramori was two time loser against us and got to laugh today, we'll surely remember and bounce back. hope we have a return match in 2016 rio. edit: wow, the team's getting grilled in korea right now. every forum, naver, daum, nate, all in flames. edit2: it's hard to put the blame to coach shin. perhaps he should have locked the game down when we were up two goals. it's easy to second guess now.
Japan under Teguramori only lost to us once (vs Lee Gwangj-jong) and that was at the QF's of the 2014 Incheon Asian Games.
