Surprisingly an under prepared and injury hit India U-23 is 0-0 at HT with Uzbek U-23 which is having tough time adjusting to conditions in afternoon kick off.
It is beyond ridiculous that some of the host nations didn't even try to broadcast the games. It is the 21st century ffs.
Indonesia 5-0 East Timor Malaysia 1-2 Vietnam UAE 4-0 Sri Lanka Iran 3-0 Palestine Bangladesh 0-4 Syria Laos 0-0 Singapore Thailand 2-1 Cambodia
Just a side question, would anyone agree to have the u23 event with all 46 nations grouped accordingly by past results ( not east and west) ? Costs will be the same as it's always hosted in one location. This why it will give rise the the top X amount of nations to challenge for a spot in the Olympics...
Iran has 3 million illegal Afghani immigrants. They were almost all Afghanis cheering for their team! Good result for them.
Yemen 5-0 Sri Lanka Iran 6-0 Afghanistan Uzbekistan 4-0 Bangladesh Australia 4-0 Taiwan Thailand 5-1 Philippines South Korea 3-0 Timor Leste Japan 2-0 Vietnam
Why is Iraq allowed to play in these tournaments when they knowingly use many overage players? I am not trying to put them down I just want to know why AFC continuously ignores this issue.
That's a good question. I remember this being an issue since the early 2000's but Afc does nothing about it. During the 2004 Olympics there was a lot of accusations as well.
Oman, Saudi Arabia on the verge to be eliminated. Saudi finished as runners-up in last edition the U-23 Championship, while Oman went to the play-offs in 2012 Olympics qual.
Nope seems like you're insecure since you brought up something completely irrelevant to my question. I am not actually concerned about it because, as Iraqis have noted, it does nothing but hurt your football. I just want to know why afc ignores it.
