I was reading something similar. It appears that GCZ has some major institutional problems that have simply been compounding and brought to light by this season.
Siegrist has been one of the reasons that Vaduz is where they are right now. Without him, I suspect that they would be much further in points behind the 9th place team. It is unfortunate that his one blunder is what people are going to remember.
Roland Vrabec looks to be the newest manager at Vaduz. He was most recently the manager at FSV Frankfurt in the 3rd Bundesliga.
1 April Sion - Thun FCSG - Basel 2 April Luzern - Lugano YB - Vaduz LS - GCZ The biggest game of the weekend is LS vs GCZ. It might go quite a way to see who will be relegated.
I'm actually thinking GCZ is going to win in Lausanne. Even though LS won last week, they needed 10 men to do it. GCZ can actually penetrate the LS backline better than Vaduz can, so I think GCZ will win that duel. Roland Vrabec makes his debut for Vaduz this weekend, as does Mauro Lustrinelli for Thun. Both managers are up against the odds in their games against YB and Sion, respectively.
1 April Sion - Thun 2-1 Win for the Valais squad but Konate was subbed out and was not a happy camper for that. FCSG - Basel 0-3 Two goals in the first 20 min effectively killed the match off. 2 April Luzern - Lugano 0-2 This loss puts 5 points between Luzern and Sion for 3rd place. YB - Vaduz 3-2 Hoarau with an early PK, but Vaduz took a 1-2 lead into the 90' when YB scored twice for the win. LS - GCZ 0-0 GCZ looked better going forward, they hit the post and crossbar, but they could not score. Basel 69 YB 52 Sion 42 Luzern 37 FCSG 31 Lugano 31 Thun 27 LS 24 GCZ 24 Vaduz 22
The Vaduz loss was the most heart-breaking loss I've ever watched. I was physically sick after this game. I'm still in disbelief that it happened.
8 April Thun - LS 2-4 LS inches away from the relegation zone. GCZ - FCSG 3-1 9 April Vaduz - Luzern 0-2 Lugano - Sion 4-2 Basel - YB 1-1 Big psychological draw for YB. Sion and Luzern are 2 points apart. 3 teams with 27 points! Basel 70 YB 53 Sion 42 Luzern 40 Lugano 34 FCSG 31 LS 27 Thun 27 GCZ 27 Vaduz 22

Guillaume Hoarau dislocated his hip against Basel and will be out for the remainder of the season, and possibly the start to next season.
If the season ended today, Lugano would be playing in the second qualifying round of the Europa League. I don't even know if their stadium is UEFA compliant, although it might be since Switzerland played a friendly there last year. There are still 9 weeks remaining in the league. I don't think the relegation battle is finished yet, despite GCZ and Lausanne both winning this past week. I think the next two weeks will see stagnant results for the bottom 4 (although I think Thun will ultimately be safe), so the real battle will begin in Round 30. Round 30 - Lausanne vs Vaduz / GCZ vs Lugano Round 31 - Vaduz vs GCZ / Lausanne vs St. Gallen Round 32 - St. Gallen vs Vaduz / GCZ vs Lausanne I think after these three rounds, we'll either have a much clearer picture of who is going down, or we'll have things so tight that it'll come down to the final round. Basel's magic number to win the league is now down to 10 points. The earliest that they could wrap up the league would be Round 30.
@KensingtonSC This must be you - yes? http://www.tagesanzeiger.ch/sport/fussball/ist-das-der-verrueckteste-fan/story/29579152
Yes, that is me with my son. The guy who wrote the article did a very good job. We talked for over an hour during the interview. It was a lot of fun.
We have someone famous who posts on these boards!!! Now we just need the lone Le Mont fan to post here as well!
That was the second article written about me being a Vaduz fan in the last year. The first was on Watson.ch. After the article in the Tages Anzeiger, a guy who is a reporter for SRF reached out to me to ask when I would next be back in Switzerland and if I was interested in being interviewed for the sportpanorama show. It's weird getting all this attention just for being a soccer fan.
YB are hot garbage without Hoarau. There is a very real chance that Sion could pass them for second place.
15 April Vaduz - Sion 0-1 LS - Basel 0-4 16 April Lugano - Thun 2-1 YB - GCZ 0-1 Luzern - FCSG 2-0 Big surprise of the round was GCZ's win over YB. It was obvious that they are not the same team without Hoarau. Basel 73 YB 53 Sion 45 Luzern 43 Lugano 37 FCSG 31 GCZ 30 LS 27 Thun 27 Vaduz 22

That would be quit a feat. With Hoarau out, Ravet will need someone else to pass the ball to.
Very odd weekend. 22 April GCZ - Luzern 4-1 This lifts them away from the relegation zone. 2 wins over probable European teams next year. GCZ seems to have saved their season. Basel - Vaduz 2-2 Vaduz was up 1-2 but gave up a very late goal. How odd that the last place team almost beat the run-away leader. Vaduz now finds themselves 7 points behind with 7 matches to play. 23 April FCSG - Thun 1-2 Thun moves away from the relegation zone with the away victory. YB - Lugano 1-2 YB continues their fall without their main player. Lugano now finds itself only 3 points behind Luzern for the last Europa League spot. Sion - LS 0-1 Sion missed a great chance to close down YB for the Champions League. On the flip side, LS also moves clear of Vaduz. Basel 74 YB 53 Sion 45 Luzern 43 Lugano 40 GCZ 33 FCSG 31 LS 30 Thun 30 Vaduz 23
