With two gameweeks and today's SOU vs ARS game to go for this season, I thought it might spark some interest to preview the promotion and relegation battles in the All Rocks league for next season.

    Small Rocks League:

    1 Top Shelf
    David Thomas
    102 1893
    2 FC St. Pauli
    Scott King
    57 1836
    3 Glorydaze
    Paul Richards
    52 1823
    4 WhataBunchofMuppets
    Raurie Bye
    48 1775
    5 Aviators
    Sir Grandpa Hal
    45 1701
    6 ColdDogSoup FC
    Lobo Mojo
    53 1689

    -------------------------------

    7 Real Newark
    Bob Grundfest
    56 1584
    8 St Martin of Tours
    Kemenes St Martin
    24 1523

Real Newark needs to score over 100 points more than ColdDogSoup FC to avoid relegation.

It's likely that Real Newark and St. Martin of Tours will be relegated to Very Small Rocks for next season.

    Very Small Rocks League:

    1 Sasha Juniors
    Thomas Johnson
    51 1779
    2 ChrisSuttonsSlippers
    Fraser McInnes
    20 1745

    -------------------------------------

    3 FC Weymouth
    Ryan Morrison
    48 1725
    4 Keysersoze Wanderers
    Tony O'Halloran
    61 1707
    5 FC Touchline Ban
    E Anderson
    34 1692
    6 Ben Giveth & Benteke
    James DeHart
    64 1571

    -----------------------------------
    7 Parraraiders
    shane brakenridge
    60 1477
    8 blechs_dawgs
    Blech Blech
    25 1467

FC Weymouth needs to outscore ChrisSuttonsSlippers by 21 points to snag the second Promotion spot to Small Rocks.

Likely promoted teams to Small Rocks: Sasha Juniors and ChrisSuttonsSlippers or possible FC Weymouth.

Likely VSR relegated teams to Sand will be Parraraiders and blechs_dawgs unless either of them can overcome the approximately 100 point lead of Ben Giveth & Benteke as the 6th place VSR team.

    Sand League:

    1 Journeymen
    Dave Pearson
    29 1824
    2 FERGY RED NOSE 2
    PHIL WATERS
    37 1760

    ----------------------------------

    3 Kopite Juniors
    Chloe M Adams
    54 1699
    4 BiggerBoat
    Dr Heckle
    62 1657
    5 FC Yankees
    Cristian Tane
    78 1652
    6 Potomac Highlanders
    Paul Bernhardt
    41 1647

    --------------------------------

    7 Stormin Gunners
    Norman Coyle
    28 1628
    8 Eternal City FC
    Robert Schwoch
    60 1565

Likely Sand teams to be promoted to Very Small Rocks are Journeymen and FERGIE RED NOSE 2. Kopite Juniors would have to overcome a 71 point deficit to spoil FERGIE's promotion party.

Likely Sand teams to be relegated to Dust are Eternal City FC and Stormin Gunners. Stormin Gunners, with a big burst on the GW37 double gameweek, could bring BiggerBoat, FC Yankees, or Potomac Highlanders into a relegation fight as only 29 points separate the Gunners from 4th place. Gunners are hoping that one of those managers has gone on a walkabout and hasn't optimized his/her team for the last double gameweek.

    Dust League:

    1 Tangers FC
    Kevin McGuire
    82 1880
    2 Morning glory
    Patrick O'Hare
    33 1866

    -----------------------------------

    3 Yellowcake Phantoms
    Jay Jones
    49 1730
    4 Dynamo Teso
    Michael Wilson
    35 1646
    5 Rafalution
    Ryan Gatt
    39 1616
    6 AFC Ku
    Kurt Thiessen
    50 1614

    ---------------------------------

    7 VegasVirgins
    Craig Powell
    36 1510
    8 Pork Soda
    Richard Powell
    33 1476

Likely Dust League teams to be promoted to Sand League are Tangers FC and Morning Glory (currenly ranked 2nd and 3rd among all of the All Rocks' League teams.

If we expand to 5 leagues next season, then the Powell brothers would likely be relegated to a 5th league. If, as is more likely, we hold to four 8-team drafted leagues, there would be no relegation from Dust and the All Rocks returning veterans, the Powell brothers, could continue their comeback next year in the Dust League.

All of the above comments do not reflect any managers that won't be invited back due to long periods of abseteee management. One of our key tenets is that all All Rocks managers agree to stay active the entire season. Without such activity, our inter and intra league cup competitions suffer.

With two gameweeks I thought it might spark some interest to preview the promotion and relegation battles in the All Rocks league for next season.

I'm adding in the report on the 5 inactive managers, who, if they want to play next season will have to start again in the Dust League if any openings are still left after the recruiting of new managers.

From the Very Small Rocks league, we have two veteran managers who went inactive:

Ben Giveth & Benteke, currently in 6th place in VSR, made NO transfers this season, didn't even use a wild card and fielded the same team from GW 4-36.

bleech_dawgs, currently in last place in VSR, only made 1 transfer this season, in GW3, used no wild cards, and had the same team, captain, and vice-capt from GW 3-36.

From the Dust League, we have two veteran managers who went inactive:

Dynamo Teso only made 4 transfers all season, did not use a wild card, and had his team on autopilot.

AFC Ku only made 8 transfers, in a few clumps, and none since GW 20, from whence his team was on auto-pilot without any use of his bench, other than auto subs, and the same designation of captain and vice-captain.

    Sand League:

    1 Journeymen

Gunners are hoping that one of those managers has gone on a walkabout and hasn't optimized his/her team for the last double gameweek.

From the Sand League, we have one manager, Eternal City FC, even though he made 10 transfers in the first 10 GWs, went on a walk-about from GW 11-36, fielding the same team, captain, and vice-captain.

    Dust League:

    1 Tangers FC
    Kevin McGuire
    82 1880

Without any substantial changes, this would create the following alignment for next season, with these managers still to indicate their intent to continue.

Potential All Rocks 2017-18 League Alignment:

    Small Rocks 2017-18:
    1. Top Shelf
    2. FC St. Pauli
    3. Glorydaze
    4. WhatABunchOfMuppets!
    5. Aviators
    6. ColdDogSoup FC
    7. Sasha Juniors (Promoted from VSR)
    8. ChrisSuttonsSlippers (Likely promoted from VSR, but could be overtaken by FC Weymouth)

    Very Small Rocks 2017-18
    1. FC Weymouth
    2. Keysersoze Wanderers
    3. FC Touchline Ban
    4. Journeymen (Promoted from Sand)
    5. FERGIE RED NOSE 2 (Promoted from Sand)
    6. Kopite Juniors (Moved up to VSR to slot opened by inactive manager)
    7. Real Newark (Relegated from Small Rocks)
    8. St. Martin of Tours (Relegated from Small Rocks)

    Sand 2017-18
    1. BiggerBoat
    2. FC Yankees
    3. Potomac Highlanders
    4. Tangers FC (Promoted from Dust)
    5. Morning Glory (Promoted from Dust)
    6. Yellowcake Phantoms (Moved up to Sand due to inactive manager opening.)
    7. ParraRaiders (Relegated from VSR)
    8. Rafalution (Moved up to Sand due to inactive manager opening.)

    Dust 2017-18
    1. Stormin Gunners (Relegated from Sand.)
    2. Vegas Virgins (Moved up from the Dust League relegation slots due to inactive manager openings.)
    3. Pork Soda (Moved up from the Dust League relegation slots due to inactive manager openings.)
    4.
    5.
    6.
    7.
    8.

This alignment for next season's All Rocks Leagues is subject to change based on the final league standings after GW 38.

If all the managers above return, we'd have 5 openings for new managers next season while holding to the four, 8-team drafted leagues. If some of the above managers do not return and after adjustments for final 2016-17 League standings, this would be the order from which we move up to fill in for someone who elects not to return.

If we don't fill these five vacancies, and if any of the 5 veteran managers who went inactive this season request to return, they would fill in the remaining openings in Dust League.

Right now we have 30 points separating 2nd from 5th place in Very Small Rocks. It is anyone's game.

With one gameweek to go I thought it might spark some interest to update the promotion and relegation battles in the All Rocks league for next season.

    Sir Grandpa Hal
    87 1788
    6 ColdDogSoup FC

    7 Real Newark
    Bob Grundfest
    104 1682
    8 St Martin of Tours
    Kemenes St Martin
    94 1619

Real Newark needs to score 73 points more than ColdDogSoup FC to avoid relegation.

It's likely that Real Newark and St. Martin of Tours will be relegated to Very Small Rocks for next season.

    Very Small Rocks League:

What a difference a week made. Lots of movement in the 2-5 position in the standings. Former number 2, ChrisSuttonsSlippers has slipped to 5th with FC Weymouth taking over the 2nd promotion spot with GW38 to go. 30 points separate positions 2-5 so any of them could still win promotion to Small Rocks.

    Likely Promoted Teams
    1 Sasha Juniors
    Thomas Johnson
    118 1904
    2 FC Weymouth
    Ryan Morrison
    98 1826

    8 Parraraiders
    shane brakenridge
    77 1560

Likely promoted teams to Small Rocks: Sasha Juniors and FC Weymouth with 3 teams that could possibly overtake FC Weymouth..

Likely VSR relegated teams to Sand will be Parraraiders and blechs_dawgs. If blechs_dawgs managers to overtake Ben Giveth & Benteke, it won't matter as both teams went inactive.

From the Very Small Rocks league, we have two veteran managers who went inactive:

Ben Giveth & Benteke, currently in 6th place in VSR, made NO transfers this season, didn't even use a wild card and fielded the same team from GW 4-36.

70 1655 (Notwithstanding relegation, slot open as manager went inactive for substantial periods.)

Likely Sand teams to be promoted to Very Small Rocks are Journeymen and FERGIE RED NOSE 2. BiggerBoat would have to overcome a 56 point deficit to spoil FERGIE's promotion party.

Likely Sand teams to be relegated to Dust are Stormin Gunners and Eternal City FC. Here are the end of season All Rocks Leagues Results for the 2016-17 EPL season.

These results will be used, after deleting the 5 inactive managers to establish the initial All Rocks Leagues alignment for next season. This will be the starting point when we officially organize.

Depending on how many current managers return, we'll have at least 5 open positions for new managers to keep with our four 8-team All Rocks Drafted Leagues.

I encourage everyone to post whether or not they intend to continue next season and send me a Private Message if your email address has changed.

    Small Rocks League:

Congrats to David Thomas and Top Shelf for winning the Small Rocks League championship and having the highest season total among the 32 All Rocks teams. His winning score for a drafted and actively managed team was in the Top 6 % of all FPL teams. Well done, David!

Without any substantial changes, yet to be identified, due to penalties and manual scoring adjustments, this would create the following alignment for next season, with these managers still to indicate their intent to continue.

Potential All Rocks 2017-18 League Alignment:

    Small Rocks 2017-18:
    1. Top Shelf
    2. FC St. Pauli
    3. Glorydaze
    4. WhatABunchOfMuppets!
    5. Aviators
    6. ColdDogSoup FC
    7. Sasha Juniors (Promoted from VSR)
    8. FC Weymouth (Promoted from VSR)

    Very Small Rocks 2017-18
    1. Keysersoze Wanderers
    2. FC Touchline Ban
    3. ChrisSuttonsSlippers
    4. Journeymen (Promoted from Sand)
    5. FERGIE RED NOSE 2 (Promoted from Sand)
    6. BiggerBoat (Moved up to VSR to slot opened by inactive manager)
    7. Real Newark (Relegated from Small Rocks)
    8. St. Martin of Tours (Relegated from Small Rocks)

    Sand 2017-18
    1. FC Yankees
    2. Kopite Juniors
    3. Potomac Highlanders
    4. Tangers FC (Promoted from Dust)
    5. Morning Glory (Promoted from Dust)
    6. Yellowcake Phantoms (Moved up to Sand due to inactive manager opening.)
    7. ParraRaiders (Relegated from VSR)
    8. Rafalution (Moved up to Sand due to inactive manager opening.)

    Dust 2017-18
    1. Stormin Gunners (Relegated from Sand.)
    2. Pork Soda (Moved up from the Dust League relegation slots due to inactive manager openings.)
    3. Vegas Virgins (Moved up from the Dust League relegation slots due to inactive manager openings.)
    4.
    5.
    6.
    7.
    8.

This alignment for next season's All Rocks Leagues is subject to change based on any manual scoring adjustments for the various leagues. This means that we'll have at least 5 openings for new managers to the All Rocks Drafted Leagues, and maybe more if some of the 27 teams and managers listed above choose not to continue next season.

Check back in early July for the Official Organizing thread for the 2017-18 EPL season.

Any non-All Rocks managers who would be interested in joining our drafted leagues, I request you do the following:

    A) Read the sticky threads at the top of this forum to learn about us and how we operate.
    B) If still interested, send a Private Message to "Hal" with the following information:
    1) First and Last Name
    2) BigSoccer Nickname
    3) Proposed Team Name
    4) Email address on how to contact you when we organize for next season.
    5) Optional: Mobile phone number if you'd like a text alert or a call to remind you to check in for next season.
