The fourth round pairings were announced tonight. The Revs host the winner of the Carolina Railhawks and Charlotte Independence on June 17 at Soldiers Field Soccer Stadium in Allston.

    I'm pumped about the venue.

Some of the matchups are really fun.

    3rd Round:
    Seattle 2 vs Portland 2

    4th Round:
    Seattle vs Portland

Also NYCFC could face the Cosmos :)

Why aren't they using Harvard stadium? that holds 32K according to Wikipedia

The USL sent 21 teams into the USOC in round two, with only 5 bowing out and 16 advancing to round three.

Rochester defeated Binghamton 1:0, and will face fellow USL club Harrisburg next. I couldn't find a boxscore or lineup to see if any of the Revs players are now cup-tied to the Rhinos.

Only two of the 11 USASA clubs advanced to round two, but those two both won to make it to round three.

Watch the Cosmos supporters never shut up about how they're much better than NYCFC and how they're New York's TRUE soccer team.

It worked well for the USOC game against RBNY in 2013. I'm assuming attendance was around 3-4k (I can't find it online) and the atmosphere and game day experience were both fantastic.

Because it's a crappy, narrow turf field?

Is it much worse than Gillette?

Yes. Not even remotely close to similar.

I don't think it is that narrow. It is about the same width as Gillette. Looking at Google Maps they appear to be the same.

As far as I'm aware the field is 68 yards wide which doesn't meet FIFA's standards (70 yards).

Also, I believe that the field turf is actually colored for the Harvard football lines. In other words, every 5 yards, there are white field turf fibers going all the way across the field, not to mention a big crimson "H".

At least they use paint at Gillette, so the Patriots' lines can be washed off.

Coming by to say I hope we get the chance to come up and play the Revs. That'd be a fun match to see. Especially with both teams going for a Revolutionary War themed name.

Do the Revs stream US Open Cup matches against lower division teams? I'd hate for us to get to play an MLS side and not be able to watch.

Charlotte has ex-Rev Bilal Duckett on their roster. Sorry CLTJacks, but discerning Revs fans would prefer Carolina, because it gives us the opportunity to see our old USOC pal Wells Thompson. :)

The New England Revolution and "streaming" do not go hand in hand. It seems like there are always issues with press conferences, live matches, etc.

Ha I had to look up Wells but I can understand that, fair enough!

Thanks for the info, hopefully there will be some way to watch if we make it to that point.

I didn't read properly. I see you were referring to the stadium field. I was talking about the field the played on two years ago.

They are playing at the same location as two years ago. Here is the game report from 2013.

Actually, the Boston Breakers just chipped in for a big expansion of the seating. Seating capacity is over 4,000 now; full capacity is now about 4,800.

    http://www.soccerwire.com/news/pro/...-harvard-universitys-soccer-stadium-for-2015/

In addition to the new state-of-the-art Field Turf surface that was replaced (enhanced) last summer, seating capacity will increase by 2,500, bringing seated capacity to 4,000. Bleachers will be added to locations behind each goal to accommodate the extra seating, and there will be additional space for standing room only, from 500 to 700. There also is room for 100 pitch side seats.

Yes, this is a different stadium than the 100 year old Harvard football stadium where the Breakers played last year. Much better environment for soccer, though you do have to contend with lacrosse (and possibly field hockey) lines. But they aren't white, at least.

That game was a blast. Louder than most every game at the Razor. Rowe and Dimitry Imbongo ran riot. Probably Gabe Latigue's best game in a Revs uniform (just about his only game in a Revs uniform). Hoping we get to see Zach Herivaux this time around.

Gotta play Rowe in the USOC.
Lack of center-back depth will hurt us here. Gotta play the starters because there isn't anyone else. Woodberry should be rested IMO.

    Okoli
    Diego-Rowe-Neumann
    Dorman-Daigo
    Smith-JoGo-Farrell-Alston (or Hall)
    Knighton

I'm more excited for our USOC games than any MLS game... partially because I'm hoping the Revs come out to Rochester again. But also because it's just such a fun tournament.
