With all due respect if you think Özil played poorly you do not know the type of game he plays, this is common to the vast majority to criticize him. Perhaps this may change your mind:
highlight video? Maybe you're right, but I didn't think he was nearly as impactful as he was 4 yrs ago. I saw him blow lots of chances.
In SA, Oezil was in the hole playing CAM. He played as a winger this time around with Kroos in the CAM position. This may have affected his influence a bit more as a play-maker.
