Yeah, I don't see it there either. I read it secondhand on another site and I am trying to dig up the source article that the quote is purportedly from, but I'm sort of sort of doubting it now myself. Like I said, it seems like a very odd thing to say. This one may be my bad. ETA: Yeah, I think that whoever posted that quote I read is taking the letter and mashing it up with Vela's comments from November 2013 about being unhappy about being called names and such and running with it. My fault for posting unsourced stuff.
Actually what he is saying is that he wasn't 100% committed to joining the squad, then went on to saying that they (the Mexican team, media) shouldn't lie to themselves about their performance in the hex and that it was so bad that it was to the point where their own fans insulted them.
not a clear case. Right now we are it. If it wasn't for BS forums and the likes the national team would go completely under the radar.
LOL. Culture-dependent joke, you either get it or you don't: "And I don't hit you again only because... it's not the right time."
Apparently, Mexico is trying to finalize a pre-World Cup tune-up with Portugal http://www.record.com.mx/articulo/n.../duelo-ante-portugal-cerrado-un-95-por-ciento This will be a great one to watch. And let's get this out of the way...
And has memories of Jermaine Jones abandoning the right side. If Chandler does make it back I can see him hugging whomever plays RM...and stays there.
Considering the heritage of Giovanni Two Saints, I'd say its more of a Half-Brazillian quality free kick
Donovan: "Mexico is one of the best in the world." Video interview in Spanish here: http://www.mediotiempo.com/futbol/s...exico-de-los-mejores-del-mundo-landon-donovan "For me, it was a surprise, in the Hex. But I think it's fair that Mexico is going to the World Cup. It's good for Mexico, of course, but it's also better for the rest of the world: Mexico has a chance to do something special there. When they play well, Mexico is one of the best in the world "In the qualifiers they didn't play well, but this is a different year, I think they can do much better. "Both countries are growing together, sometimes Mexico surpasses us, sometimes we surpass them. In my opinion, the Mexican youngsters are doing better than ours." The interview mentions the interest Mexican clubs had in him, but Donovan says he plans to stay with LA until the end of his career. "I'm very happy at home," he said at the end. BTW, as a polyglot, I read news from all over the world. I keep finding tidbits from Donovan nearly everywhere. It's as if the world media keeps contacting the guy for his opinion on anything related to soccer. Sometimes I wonder when he sleeps.
