I like the "Most Points Ever" end-point. :)

Ain't happening, if you read the analysis. The unbeatable team lies at the end of the trail. There is no beating Chivas.

Chivas players have been playing-off early for their careers and livelihoods...

    Tough to beat that, really.

That excuses the recent loss, and the loss that is to come two games hence. It does not explain the loss several months back. That was jaw dropping. The most recent was sad, and it predicts the next.

What a messy game, not just the rain, it was the chaos created by the desperation of Portland. They were quicker to balls, cutting off passing lanes and otherwise abusing RSL's desire to have a passing game. Javi was somewhat off which hurt a lot.

We will now finish the season with 53 points because we know that beating Chivas is against the laws of physics. No matter how much metaphysical unicorn/kitten/bunny/pooping rainbow power we bring to bear, physical reality will resist and Chivas will prevail. Abandon hope all who enter, for the season is now done.

Oh, buy playoff tix and go to the games, cheer your hearts out, and we'll be watching from Appalachia... but, the season is done.

Most Points target busted, better luck next season!

Still confident about matching the 2013 points total though.

The season finale will be all about getting the 3rd/4th seed, which will determine how many (3 or 2) playoffs tickets to get by then... :p

And, another year of points tracking is over. RSL finished in the midst of the good seasons, same points as 2013. I wonder if there is not some evidence that the brains behind Kreis was Cassar?

We finally beat Chivas, and did so decisively. While a goal was given on the Penalty, it was taken away on the blown offside, so all was right. How good are we for the playoffs? I fear we are not very good for the playoffs. Any team that can't get the job done in two previous matches against Chivas has some fundamental problem in keeping it's motivation at the level of a champion.

But, who would have thought RSL would have won the cup in 2009? Anything can happen in the playoffs. So, let's go make anything happen!

    With this, RSL are:
    • The only team to amass 55+ points for the past 3-straight seasons.

    • 1 of the only 2 teams (alongside LAG) to amass 50+ points for the past 5-straight seasons.:thumbsup:
Without looking up the stats of further past, nor considering the PPG factor, this may well be the Best All-Time Streak of Consistent Excellence.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

By the way, by finishing 4th Overall after "SS"FC, LAG and DCU, RSL will qualify for 2015-16 CCL, if any of the above 3 lift the Cup. ;)
