I think Vietnam could become the dark horse in this tournament. They seem so well prepared for this tournament. They had played some friendly matches in Europe (England, Belgium, France), they even beat Arsenal U19 3-0 in London.

I think Iraq can make it out of the group. The problem is we will face Korea or Japan in the QF's :(

Both teams are strong at youth level.

Thailand - Myanmar also drawn in the same group for the AFF Championship played a month earlier in Vietnam.

Australia drawn in Japan's group, so we going to have some interesting competitive matches just before the tournament kicks off.

Ah okay. Because a week before the drawing of the group, Indonesia FA said that Uzbekistan FA invited Indonesia U19 to play in a tournament in Uzbekistan but unfortunately they rejected the invitation since they already have a schedule to participate in a U20 tournament in Spain.

China U19, Qatar U19 also participated in this COTIF tournament.

    Group A
    Barcelona U20
    Argentina U20
    Mauritania U20
    Saudi Arabia U20
    Indonesia U19

    Group B
    Valencia U20
    Brazil U20
    Ecuador U20
    Qatar U19
    China U19

Vietnam has strong U19 squad for this tournament. I saw Chinese squad and it seems they have 13 European based players as well. Japan and Korea had been pretty steady in U19 level as well. In addition, Korea have exceptional squad for this tournament. It should be interesting on Thursday against Vietnam.

I think RoK has very high chance to win this tournament though. HHC, BSH, Kim Shin, SMW (who is hard carrying Daejeon in K challenge), KGH, KYG can put goals behind net. This year's Korean squad may match to 2007 squad which had PJH, KSY, LCY etc ^_^
