Anyway, it was nice to win even if we missed some chances as usual. But the return to a 4-2-3-1 helped us in the second half.

You should rather trust on North Korea for that.

    Link, if somebody knows something.

... guess I'll leave you guys to the surprise of those not happening then.

Back to the match, I liked Ota and Gotoku. Inui, Honda. Curious to see what Aguirre's choices will be for the midfielders in the AC. He said he's pretty much decided on the team roster anyway.

Kagawa hasn't made a decent shoot in ages, I'm worried. Okazaki was a bit so-so but he found the goal somehow. Still don't see any better option than him anyaway.

Leckie could be great forward if he had any sort of technique to back up that raw speed his got.

so has Konno cemented his place for 2018 with that goal? lol.

I expect Cahill to win in the air anyway, but man was he wide open.

When Cahill & Bresciano retire of which both could happen after the AC15. That'll be a lot of quality taken out of the Socceroos.

Anyway lovely win by Zac Ja... i mean Aguirre Japan.

Yes I'm sure it's about "knowing it all". It's Wikipedia. It has already happened plenty of times. People read the fixtures there, and then they are fake. It's just getting tiring.

Just PLEASE think for a minute before posting, that's all I'm asking. Otherwise you could spread false information.
"On wikipedia it says that there are two friendlies scheduled for xx day and xx day against X team" - that would've been a perfectly fine post.
Then I would've just told you "hmm, watch out because nothing has been announced yet. It's not likely but possible that friendlies are played in the camp days I guess but there is no source for that".

it's just fake stuff, they also said Milan was interested in Uchida before.
Unless it's well known players, possibly coming from Serie A (Bonaventura), Milan doesn't spend. Menez, Alex, Essien, Torres (loan), all signed for high wages but no transfer fee.

Sakai? Half-japanese, 50% less work to do to be accepted in Italy. Waiting for his performance especially in defence.

    yup

i think we have more in terms of quantity than we have had for a long time, options for every position(central defence aside) - heck, we have 3 able leftbacks!

but still a question mark over quality....matty ryan aside where we are lacking just about all across the pitch....with kruse still finding his feet again, oar injured and jedinak hot and cold - too many of our players are either not as good as their predecessors and/or still have a looooooooong way to go.....at this point cahill and bresiano - at 35, are still irreplaceable. hopefully someone can finally step up at the asian cup...if not we could be in for a rough time for a while

That sounds about right, a few of the promising players have struggled to take a real foot hold in their careers.

Btw speaking of the LB thing, I don't know how the LB did in general last night (they had a tough opponent in Gotoku Sakai who played quite well). But it should probably be cause for concern when you get beaten surprisingly easily 1v1 against Masato Morishige (our CB).

I can't remember ever seeing Morishige even try take on someone 1v1.
