    Brazilians have nothing but the utmost respect for Uruguay. I hope we win, but I don't take anything for granted.

    Half of them say spain is the greatest of all time, the other half say its between them and brazil 1970, and if spain win next year, it is undisputible for the pundits that are undecided.

    SPAIN=GOAT

    Greatest of all time baby!

    Spain fans need to enjoy the last couple of years of spain being on top because it will be over once this generation leaves the game. And please dont come back at me with the Spain produces tons of talent and that they have loads of players coming up. Because most of that young talent is overrated due to the success of the senior side. Just take a look at the olympics and the U-20 WC where spain couldnt compete with all that so called young talent coming up.

    He is right. Spain is indeed only ONE TIME champs......Not 5 times......So, they are absolutely equal to france or england ( as far as achievement is concerned )........If you talk about copa then brazil won it 8 times.....

    Was talking about the last one not the one that just started. The one where they had Isco, Tello, Batra, Romeu, Rodrigo, Sergio Canales, Koke and a bunch of other so called big time prospects. The one that were supposed to run away with the title but couldnt get pass a brasilian team that were missing their two best players.

    I guess he means the previous u-20. Although even there they only lost on penalties to Brazil. So a bit ridiculous to say they "couldn't compete".

    But yeah, in 2013 under-20 Spain has already done better than Brazil. :cautious:

    Your post was specific to the last couple of years. Saying Spain's next generation can't even compete with other countries just shows how hurtbutt you are. They have won back-to-back u-21 UEFA titles, qualified for the Olympics, lost on penalties to the eventual winner of the u-20 WC and qualified successfully for the 2013 u-20 WC.

    Spain couldn't score a single goal in the 2012 Olympics. It ended in last in its group behind Japan, Honduras and Morocco. Need to say more?

    Whenever you do a global comparison please talk about world cups only ( where all teams can compete) and not some regional tourneys like copa or euro . They won back to back euros ( again regional tourney ) qualifed for olympics ( but had disastrous results ), Lost on penalties ( a loss is a loss right , doesnt matter at which stage of the match ).

    Before we are back to talking about Galileo I think everything has been said about the Group Stage.

    There is a new thread for the elimination rounds. Keep it civil, stay on topic, and respect different opinions. Otherwise find your posts in the bin.
