And it's halftime. Unless Guangzhou scores right away after the break this one's over. Bayern will probably score a few more. Time to bring on Shaqiri?
evergrande are playing exactly the way Bayern hate their opposition to play - solid defence with the occasional long ball counter. This is unlikely to change though even now that they're 2-0 down, they will continue to play with 11 men in the penalty area. evergrande are also losing the ball far too easily. Bayern tried too much through the middle as they always do when Robben or Shaquiri aren't playing. At the moment I can't see a way back for the chinese, too harmless going forward.
Hope so, too. Their keeper seems a bit too nervous. He needs to calm down, he could have done more on the first goal, send the ball far or for the corner instead of right back to the Bayern players.
Well, as I was typing that, the camera zoomed on the faces of a couple of Guangzhou players and they looked gassed. At that moment I knew it was just a matter of minutes until Bayern would score (happened 3 minutes after).
Muriqui in a very good Guangzhou counter, has the first clear chance but shoots it wide to the near post. Goetze makes it 3-0 with a golazo. PS: Not really digging Cheng, the Guangzhou keeper. He seems too insecure, too nervous.
Guangzhou should now focus on keeping the score more or less respectable. They've still got the third place match to look forward to and that was always the (realistic) scenario to crown an otherwise great season.
They just said Guangzhou has played 68 games this year, making it the team with the most matches played this tournament, and how Lippi had been complaining about not having a squad big enough to rotate. Bayern has taken their foot off the gas, and are allowing Evergrande to keep possession in their area.
Conca about to kick a FK for the Chinese club, and lots of lasers on his face. WTH? Why blind a guy with lasers when his team is losing 3-0? Do Moroccans dislike China for some reason?
That's quite a lot of games and probably the reason they failed to win the Chinese Cup and therefore missed the Asian treble. That said, not sure how you can conserve energy against Bayern and keep the score respectable. Martinez on for Bayern.
Good save by Cheng. That's going to lift his spirits. He was looking down since Bayern scored the first.
True, they were talking about a sell-out. They said the same thing for both Raja matches, wonder how they got to that conclusion. But it looks like the stands behind both goals are sold out, which are the zones with the cheapest tickets for 15€. For the other stands in the stadium it would simply be to expensive for the average Moroccan to afford, with tickets prices being 40€ and 80€ for the other two zones. So FIFA should take some blame for this, Morocco isn't the UAE or Japan..
It's the same with Neuer on the other side so I think they just like to influence the game aomehow. Oo
You're right. Yang Zhi suffered an injury which basically allowed Zeng to take over for a while. Zeng took his chances and is now China's starting keeper.
Bayern midfield not impressing me, to be honest. Lahm-Thiago-Kroos take a bit too long at times and kill the chances.
Ah so they were wrong. Galo & Tigers both have around 32 or so players in their squads, not exactly a small roster. PS: Pizarro plays for Bayern once in a blue moon of late. Guy must be quite old, he was mature with Chelsea and that was ages ago.
