Seeing him with Derdiyok and Roberto Firmino will surely be good. Remember: Hoffenheim will be the crack of the next season in Germany.
They're doing things right. Roberto Firmino, Usami, Derdiyok, Salihovic, Vorsah, Beck, Rudy, Wiese, Delpierre, Braahfied.. they seem a good team for next season. Who knows, maybe they'll do other good things for their squad.
relax, even Morimoto trashes opponents in practice matches that said I am optimistic for Usami's season

If anything, that's a nice sign that this is a team that will utilise him properly in his favoured position...unlike Bayern.
Then in a near future we will have Miyaichi Vs Usami fighting for a spot on the left side of NT (U-23 or Senior). Good
Does he play on the right wing? Just trying to see if he will be competing with the American Joe Gyau...one of the players I'm following at Hoffenheim.
Usami can play all 3 attacking midfield positions. When he was at Gamba he played on the left. When he plays for Japan, he plays in the center. When he was at Bayern he played on the right. I don't know which one he prefers, but I believe that his best position is in the center.

When asked how Babbel (Hoffenheim manager) convinced him to join Hoffenheim and not Liverpool: -"He contacted me very early on, and in the talks I could feel that he'd count on me. He likes my playing style and sees me rather on the left."
