You'd be surprised actually. Urawa paid close to 2 mil to bring Takahara back to the J-League. Of course Urawa actually has money, but Kashiwa are supposedly going to let Ricardo Lobo go to JEF Chiba if Morimoto comes, so perhaps they'd get money from that deal. Or maybe the clubs are willing to let him cancel his contract and let him go. Novara have just been relegated and it doesn't look like Catania are interested in having him back. By mutually terminating his contract it would free-up wages for Novara without having to pay him compensation in return.
Thanks, this is actually an interesting bit. According to the last statements by Catania and Novara it doesn't look like that is an option, to be fair. Of course, they'd sell him at the right price, though. Well, let's see...
Meeting between Catania and Novara tomorrow for him. Speculations wants Catania to buy back the other 50% of his price tag. That's at least a 1,5 mln move, which means that he's valued 3+ millions by the club.
Actually, I hope he stays with Novara while his competitors flee for serie A. I think a season or two in serie B would do his form and confidence some good. He's still relatively young, and I think at this point in his career, it's more important to think about damage control and a staged comeback rather than hoping something big in serie A pans out.
Bought back by Catania. Now it's fully owned by the team, and will go back to train there. Catania gave Novara GK Tomas Kosicky, instead. This doesn't mean that he stays here at Catania, that's not clear. He could still go on loan at Chievo or even be sold. Now you all can surrend to what I kept telling: that he wasn't going to play in Novara.
Apparently Catania's president explicitly went on to say that they believe in the player and is welcomed with open arms. Not sure if this mean that they want him to play there or go experience on loan, though.
Remind me again why/how he ended up failing the medical for Chievo again? That is to say, there's still a solid possibility that Chievo could take him on loan for the upcoming season right?
He just had a knee surgery a few months before and apparently he wasn't fully recovered. Yes, it seems that Chievo is insterested but I won't put my hands on it, it's too early
Earned a PK and sent Catania to beat Chievo in a friendly. Also got an hilarious post @ 1.47 I suggest to not open a new topic until the season starts, I don't know if he will play at Catania or what happens
http://www.sanspo.com/soccer/news/20120803/pre12080305020000-n1.html Huh? According to La Sicilia, ManUtd, Everton, and West Ham among the interested...
Manchester United? really? I'm not suprised about Everton and West Ham, but ManU? anyhow, he hasn't has a good couple of seasons in Italy and almost non-existent in the JNT. I hope things will get better for him.
He scored in a test friendly (as usual haha ) anyway, just read the original article in italian, and their source is tribalfootball, which is a notoriously false-rumors spreading site. http://www.tribalfootball.com/artic...ing-catania-striker-takayuki-morimoto-3423001
http://www.gianlucadimarzio.com/calciomercato/morimoto-il-catania-pensa-alla-cessione-la-situazione/ Right. So, back to J-League ASAP.
Assisted the only goal for Catania's win in the italian Cup. @ 1.14 still Novara's thread but I'd wait for the end of the transfer window before making a new one.
http://web.gekisaka.jp/?u=%2Findex....N%26amp%3Bkey%3DXxp0myW8%26amp%3Btwi%3D105700 Hellas Verona, Serie B, interested in him, according to TuttoB.com (anyone Italian can evaluate this source?).
