Might well be the case. Using Sharp to get in the box and hassle the defenders from the outset, and then bringing Lee on to up the pace and run at them as they tire seemed to work well against Derby.

Yes, I spoke too soon . After the arrow-like shot to the top corner, he sent an arrow speeding into the stands! (The whole game is on the club website.) Here's to plenty of repeat performances
"Assisted" by being flattened as he followed up his own saved shot! Sorry, Lee, Lambert does the penalties. (Did he take them at Hiroshima?) He had another couple of chances during the game, and seems to have been pretty involved. Post-match from Adkins - "I knew the pitch was going to be lively and Chung has high confidence with his goal from the week before and I thought we would play direct and he's quick and lively and energetic and I thought the game was suited for him to run in and partner Rickie Lambert." Also said that he thought Lee "had a good game". Sharp spent the afternoon on the bench.
Lee taken off at half-time - perhaps for a well-deserved rest, perhaps because the second-half was even more one-way traffic than the first, with the Southampton goalkeeper the star of the show. Adkins post-match - "It was a fantastic goal from Rickie Lambert, a great header from Tadanari Lee and Rickie Lambert quality." Apparently he cushioned a header from a cross for Lambert to volley in. Looks like this could become the preferred strike partnership, with Sharp left on the bench again. Happy days...

Lee started against Ipswich and subbed at 75 minutes, his third consecutive match in starting line-up. Game was a draw but they're still in first place.
Lee won't suddenly become an unstoppable goal-scoring machine in England. He makes good runs, creates space for team mates and can chip in with assists, and the manager appreciates this.
I'm not saying the has to bag in 20 goals, and I know what the manager appreciates of him. It may take time but he still Must do (some) goals if he wants a starter place. Or at least provide assists. Sharp always did well in terms of goals, so the manager may change idea. After all today it was a draw... no goals, no party, how they say. Southampton is still first... but Reading and West Ham have one more match to play. They must keep momentum
Not bad so far. 7 games, 1 goal & 3 assists. Goals will hopefully start to come soon, esp if they can start to pick out his runs.
Well, it's pretty close at the top, only a 3 point lead against West Ham and Reading, both having a game in hand too. West Ham have been struggling at home, so I'd be surprised if they don't finish out the season with automatic promotion.
